I like Knies, but that list is non-sense. I think he's a top 50 prospect, #26th is clearly pushing it...

And Suggerud is obviously a superior prospect IMO, he plays on the same line and he's younger, more talented and impactful, but for some weird reason he's 39 (wtf). Korchinski outside top 50 is a joke.

I think we can agree Knies is a good prospect without using a poor list like this as a proof lol
I think Snugeerud has a higher ceiling and a much lower floor. Knies is a pretty safe bet to at the very least be a good 3rd line player. I can see justification for having one over the other depending on what you value more. It isn't an undefensable position to hold anyways.

Yeah, to me it is, but what do I know!

Snuggerud has superstar, 1st line scoring winger written all-over him... In a do-over draft he'd probably go top 5-10 only a year later. His D+1 WJC was just incredible. He was probably USA best forward with Cooley. Knies was far from that last summer.

One more year in college and he'll play on the Blues top 6, almost guarenteed.

Knies of course has a higher floor because of his physical attributes, but he's not in the same prospect "tier" to me.

I have them about equal. Cooley is the one that's clearly ahead IMO. Neither Knies or Snuggerud are going to be the go-to guy at the next level, but both should be able to settle in to complimentary roles and be extremely good at that.

pretty obvious his extension will be based off results.

Yes, your opinion is more valid than that “non-sense” list.

Ya... I'm guessing you don't actually watch many of the games.

they expect Knies to join the team after his college season is over. They would only trade him if he said he would never sign with the team. He’s easily worth a first round pick and a prospect.
That's funny, we have been told all season (and in the offseason) that any trade with Toronto HAD to include Knies, since nothing else we have had any value at all.

Shame we had to trade him but what can you do, HF is rarely wrong when it comes to real life value.

I think the insistence on Knies inclusion probably thwarted some of the proposed trade discussions the leafs got involved in. Thankfully not all of them. At least St.Louis and Chicago were more reasonable.

The Big 10 player of the year is voted on by a media panel and the head coaches in the conference. This isn't the Hobey Baker.

Better than 50% chance he comes a day-to-day NHLer.

No offense to Knies, but this is crazy. He is the 3rd or 4th best player on the Gophers, IMO.
Faber, Cooley & Lacombe are clearly more impactful IMO. Snugs is debatable.

i think he has more of an NHL game than most NCAA guys and will likely walk from an elite NCAA line to an elite NHL line. He’s not a guy I’d want creating offense but he’s a perfect 3rd piece as demonstrated by the Gophers this year.
