Ya, I'm good with one and done for Boldy. I'd like him available for the Wild next year if he keeps this up.
Straight to the NHL? Where would you play him?
Available. Ie if he dominates the AHL in the first half, available in the 2nd.Straight to the NHL? Where you play him?
Why? If he's ready for the AHL let him play in the AHL or NHL if he proves worthy.Keep him in college!

I've got very little doubt he can handle the AHL, and the wild will give him every opportunity in the worldcause he's still young, and he might get bounced around in the AHL since he's literally still 18. AHL is no walk in the park, very physical and can be quite a wake up call.
Johnathan Dhalen, super star in sweden but the physical game got to him, and couldn't handle it.

Yep, he belongs in Boston for another year. Spend it learning the nuance of playing C and being a dominant two-way player. Then come center Fiala & Kaprizov in 2021-22
It's very dumb to develop teenagers in the ahl for a full year. A couple games at the end of a year is fine but Boldy needs another year not in pro hockeyWhy? If he's ready for the AHL let him play in the AHL or NHL if he proves worthy.
Going the Mittelstadt route prob wasn't the way to go for Mittelstadt either. Until there are no questions left at a lower level there is no need to throw them to the wolves. Then when you think he's on the edge of making NHL, let him try and AHL is the fall-backYou want to pencil him in as #1c in 21-2? Whoa, cowboy!
He is not dominating physically in college in the games I've watched...remember, he will be playing, as a teen, against guys as old as 24-5 in the NCAA. Let him build up his strength and mature for another year in college rather than spend a ton of time on the road in the AHL getting hammered by 28 year olds.
Going the Mittelstadt route for Boldy isn't the way to go.
Looking back at this season...why are Wild fans again supporting the notion of Boldy learning to play centre?
Sounds like a good way to ruin or at least disrupt the progression of a good prospect. You have two firsts this year, right? Get your centres there.Because we need a center and he’s as capable as any prospect we have.
Couldn't agree more. I'd rather have a dynamite winger than a project that may not work out.Sounds like a good way to ruin or at least disrupt the progression of a good prospect. You have two firsts this year, right? Get your centres there.
Zary or Lundell at ~10. Bourque or Lapierre at ~25. One who simplifies the game and another who complicates it. Aces.

Also think he should definitely go back to BC. Pretty sure Newhook will be back.

I wouldn't say its dumb, but you need to be cautious with it. I'd personally send him to BC, but guys such as Rantanen and Nylander spent full seasons in the AHL as teenagers. Now, the CHL kids who have been able to be bumped quickly like Honka and A. Nylander haven't worked very well, and we will see what Sandin and Liljegren become. It's very dumb to develop teenagers in the ahl for a full year.
