They passed on this guy three times??
Yep. You wouldn't even know he grew up in their backyard with how quickly they blew past him.

God it's amazing. You think the US could have used this kid when they got shutout by Sweeden?

But but but the US team had a genius behind the bench, so they didn´t need the best players to win.
Connor could end up #3 in this draft. It happens.
You mean the start of the year when he was on the 2nd line, on his off wing, and adjusting to the NCAA? See how he still had points in those games?
Imagine using a 3 game sample size to make a poor point.

Interesting sample size and cut off.
Versus top 20 teams add 5 games vs Penn State during which he had 14 points, and 5 games vs Minnesota during which he had 13 points.
So against top 20 competition he played 13 games and had 29 points.
the sample only show how weak was the opposition !!!
Yeah the power house Penn state !!! who by the way aren't top 20

Penn St. was and is in the Top 20. And they struggled to finish the season, they were playing much better hockey a couple months ago. If you're going to troll at least take the time to google PSU's ranking. Lazy.

Wish this thread wouldn't be used to constantly harp on the Bruins NOT drafting him. San Jose, Florida, Dallas and the Islanders passed on him too. It happens. To every team.
Obviously Jets fans are excited at the potential he is showing. He may be a legit 1st line winger in the NHL and has star potential.

Who are some NHL players that put up his kind of numbers in their D+1 year? Just looking for potential comparables.
You chose to go with a 3 game sample size? LOL
How about over a 36 game period instead?

Kyle Connor, a freshman, leads NCAA Div. 1 in both goals and points. The last freshman to score 30 was Vanek (31 in 02/03); Connor has put up 35 and has room left for more. Connor has destroyed Larkin's PPG from last season, is currently above Eichel's PPG from last year as well - and is within 2 points of his total in 4 fewer games-played.
I can sort of understand your fixation on the 3 game sample size though, given that Boston passed on selecting the guy that is easily the most dynamic goal-scorer in NCAA hockey at present... not once, not twice, but thrice.
