Voted hardest wording player in the Western Conference

"
Jonah Gadjovich was named the Hardest Worker in the Western Conference with 29 points. He finished third last year and second the year before, so apparently he works hard consistently.
He also finished third in votes for Most Dangerous in Goal Area for the second year in a row. Boris Katchouk, who finished first, is 6’3” and had 42 goals in 57 games, so that sounds about right."

Is it worth reviving this thread? Gadjovich 7 goals in 8 games to start his AHL season. Seems to have improved every year.
All time best eliteprospects photo too?

Still waiting for Palmu to show up to camp 6'0

How does his skating look though compared to last year? In the end, it doesnt matter if he scores 50 parked outside the blue paint.
Still not a great skater, but has shown some better mobility. He was a bit of a fringe prospect for a few years, but is showing some nice upside this year for sure. He has some teeth to his game, and as you said, can park himself in front of the net and create havoc.

I could see him being a nice bottom 6 addition down the road.

For those of you who have never seen him skate:

In the AHL at least, Gadjovich looks like the second coming Tim Kerr....he's a veritable 'slot machine' with tips and cashing in rebounds.

But up top in the NHL, he' s still going to have to pick up step to be effective. But you'd have to concede that he's shown marked improvement and that's all you're looking for from a late second round draft pick still early in career.

Does he? There's guys like Lucic, Paul, Simmonds, these guys don't have quick feet. Tkachuk brothers just live below the dots/by the goalie in the offensive zone. If he can use his body to protect the puck from quicker players he could make a living like Ryan Malone.

Canucks are in dire need of a big strong forward with good hands to clean around the net, Gadjovich looks to be developing into that guy quite nicely. Obviously the AHL is very watered down this year, so you have to take his stats with a grain of salt, but 11 goals in 12 games is pretty impressive at any level.

Unfortunately I could see him being the guy Seattle takes from us in the ED.

It depends on the style I guess.
For the Canucks, where the defensemen pull back a lot more and the forwards stay up, and the transition usually involves a stretch pass or the defenseman carrying the puck back in, Gadjovich could be a fine player.
He's not going to be the guy you want out in overtime, but he could be a special teams specialist at both ends of the ice
