CHL is fine for his development path, but why the hell would you want to go to Flint? I know Nilsen was suspended for 5 years, but that whole organization continues to be a mess. You're right, wrong move.
Only issue was the first season...everything had been great since....ask Ty Deallandrea how Flint has worked out for him

For those who didn't know, Jenik changed from Czech league to the OHL midway through the season. After some adjustment time, he is now point per game with a 1G - 2A night (5-1-0-1 then 6-3-7-10). He was one day away from 2019 being his draft year.

6+12 in his last 12 games. Have to wonder where would he project to go in the draft if he were a day older.

Don't see a thread on this kid here.

Stats this season: 15GP, 11G, 17A, 28 Points, 16PIM, +6

I think he should be getting more attention. In terms of points per game, he is 6th right now in OHL. I like his skill set as he seems to be able to do many different things well, maybe not great.

Would anyone who has seen him play this season be able to comment on his play lately? Strengths? Weaknesses?

18 games this season, scored at least a point in every single game so far. The only player in the OHL & in the CHL to do so this season.
0+1, 1+0, 1+0, 0+2, 1+0, 0+4, 2+2, 1+0, 0+2, 0+1, 1+0, 0+1, 2+1, 0+3, 2+0, 0+1, 1+3, 3+2= 15 goals, 23 assists, 38 points, 2.11 ppg

(also recorded at least one shot on goal in each of his games so far)

What is also impressive is that he only has 11 power play points out of his 38. He's been dominating at even strength. He's also the youngest he could be for his D+2 season as he only turned 19 on September 15th.

Really interested to see how he does in the WJC.

Pretty insane pace for a guy that's not on a strong team

I wonder... either (Yotes or Kings) gonna make a move in the near future to get both (Janik&Kaliyev) to their respectful teams.
There's obviously tons chemistry between these two on the ice, smart move would be to capitalize on that.

Kings aren't trading Arty Party, so... what does Arizona want?
