Garland is not the Crosby of the Q though..Jagr doesn't have 5 Hart trophies to go along with his scoring titles.

I think your really missing the part though where there's more to hockey than just points. You have to be careful when your make your entire opinion based on point totals, like you are

Perron was the better player this year, and your not going to find many people that disagree with that. He was approx 25pts, 50pts, and 60pts up on the next 3 highest scorers on his own team. 38 PIMS versus Garlands 97 PIMS helps in his favour as well.

Look at the playoffs and their head to head matchup for further evidence that they made the right choice.

Again his leadership and two way play were a driving force on maybe the best team in the CHL., and that's why you see Perron with the hardware.

I completely get that points arent the only thing that matter, but when you more than double your next closest teammate AND lead the league by a very comfortable margin then it's very hard to argue you aren't the most valuable player.

The Huskies still had Lazoun, Meier, Myers, etc who are all very good.players. Garland has.... Askew? Moncton is close to a bottom 5 team without Garland instead of a top 4 team. Garland had a terrible playoffs all around really, not just against the Huskies.

Again your point is entirely based on point totals, and you don't take quality of play into consideration at all.

Yes, from your viewpoint it is impossible to fathom a scenario where Garland doesn't win the MVP. I'll agree with you on that.

I remember he was excellent his last season in the QMJHL. He's since played four AHL seasons with inconsistent numbers, but hasn't yet debuted in the NHL. Any chance he'll reach the NHL or he's not good enough?

I saw him live at the Sens development camp a few years ago and remember thinking he had a wicked release. But I think if he was going to make the big leagues, he would have done it by now.
