I don't think it's a hot streak. It's obvious if you watch him play, or saw him play for Sherwood Park, that he is by far one of the most dangerous shooters of his draft class. The question is whether or not his game will translate to the pro level where defenders and goaltenders read you much better. He's not overly fast, but he's not a weak skater either. He's not great in the defensive zone, but he's never been required to be. He isn't big, but he's not weak. His shot his elite and so are his instincts inside the opposing blueline. I expect him to struggle at the next level, but I won't be surprised if he can score frequently enough to stick around. Does that make sense?
Do you see him as the kind of player that scores and not much else? If he can be a 20-30 goal scorer that's still good value in the fourth round.
