Taylor will be a really interesting prospect to watch moving forward. He possesses good size, has great offensive abilities, a laser of a shot and has great puck skills. The big problem? lack of consistency and effort. He tends to float on the ice rather than apply pressure while in transition and in the defensive end, he can be a good skater but he lacks pace and the drive at times. A very frustrating player to watch at times. Nonetheless he has so much good going for him that at times you forget about these issues. should be interesting to see where he goes in this years OHL draft.

Officially a Wolve!

Edit: A little early…. But I believe it will still be him.

Edit 2: Yup! OFFICIALLY a Wolve

Taylor was always seen as a project, he is a guy that has a wicked shot, has good top end speed but has lacked the urgency in his game to really utilize his skill set to its fullest. He was traded from Sudbury to Peterborough last year and although the early returns looked promising, his play this year has been like the rest of the Petes roster, underwhelming. There is an argument to be made, that because he’s on such a terrible team - it brings down his numbers significantly, and while I agree. I must say that Taylor is a part of that. There is an opportunity to lead the charge there and be their offensive weapon they rely on, but he nor any other 17 year old on that roster has done that. I think someone picks him late as a flyer because of his size, speed and pedigree and hopes it was a one off year with the Petes, but in reality don’t expect much here, chances are slim he’s anything more than a Junior Scorer
