Finally! He'll most likely get to play 5-6 minutes. Gunler, & Raymond also started as 13th and got to play around that many minutes. Would make no sense to have him there and not give him any ice time.

Hopefully they go the Luleå & Gunler route and try him on the PP.
Finally, but i don't expect big things from him. He should have played in allsvenskan this season and not in J20 to be honest.

I don’t see why a U17 player (first year at hockey gymnasium/“high school”) should be loaned to another team just to play Allsvenskan. J20 is fine at that stage and it’s not like he’s toying with his opponents.

I've seen Holtz in J20. He's good, but it's not like he's completely dominating out there. Definitely hasn't hurt him to play there this year.

1.25ppg as a triple under ager who doesn’t consistently get top 6 minutes.

Imagine what he’d put up playing with Falk and got minutes like Jost got.

Well that was fun.. They gave him 3 entire shifts
Ohlsson: "[Holtz] will contribute in the offensive"
Also Ohlsson: "3 shifts, dzone starts"

Better to let him play in the U20. Guess though it still is a good experience for him.
Well, this game didn't overlap with any U20 game, question is if he'll play U20 or SHL(and get minutes) on thursday when there is an overlap between the two.

How did he look those 90sec?
Well, I don't think he ever had the puck and his 3 faceoffs he participated in were in his end of the ice, but for those 90 seconds he looked like just about any other player out there.

Nothing else to say really considering it was 90 seconds.

Yeah i hope he gets more time in the future. He migh become Swedens best goalscorer if he pans out.

Either him, Grewe or Falk should get the chance. Would love to see some more of him tomorrow already

The one thing I noticed in the few shifts he had Tuesday was that his straight line speed was above average when he tried to chase down that icing. His breakaway in the video above is confirming it.

4 goals(3+ENG) vs the now previously undefeated US NTDP group today.

(above clip is of his 2-3 goal, 4-3 goal is shown here: , unless Raymond touched it, but it was credited to Holtz)
NHL Prospect GIFs on Twitter

You'd think teams would realize that you really do NOT want Holtz to get a breakaway.

I think Raymond is more likely to challenge Lafreniere, among Swedish players.

Holtz is a big goal scorer, and if you think he's going to be like Ovechkin or Laine where he'll score 45-55 per year, maybe he could challenge. If you think he might only be Tarasenko or Seguin range where he's likely to hit 30 each year, but probably doesn't have the potential to lead the league in goals consistently, the rest of his game might not be good enough to justify 1OA. He's a competent playmaker, puck handler and skater, but none of those areas of his game are elite. I think those areas of his game won't impede allowing his goal-scoring to shine, but I think his goal-scoring will decide whether he's an elite level NHL'er or an average first liner. There's also over a year until his draft, so his skill-set could change.

I'm wondering why everyone's talking about Holtz & Raymond, and sort of seems to forget about Gunler. My theory is that the experts talk more about these two guys because they belong to the two big city organizations in Sweden.

And since most people around here form their opinions off stats only - Gunler is the most impressive this season, with the exception of the national team (where he's not been given the same opportunity).

Anyhow - three top tier forwards, all likely to go top 10. Thoughts?

Gunler is pointless after 2 games
