Save it. I'm older than anyone in the league now that Jagr is gone. I have one foot in the grave.

Timeout was needed - this team can`t play when the puck drop it seems. And it started like this last game too vs Jets, they deserve to join the lottery for Dahlin this season.

It’s one thing for them to just not be good and have on talent and lose, but I can understand his frustration when they come out every game unprepared. Make bad unforced turnovers, screeen him and stuff. Stuff that is avoidable for even the worst teams. If you stink you stink but that doesn’t mean you need to play like it’s open hockey. A bad team that busts their asses for a full 60 and tries to play the right way is what I’d like to see.

I believe this is part of the reason for the “rebuild” but also part of why we need a coaching change. Buffalo is up on Tampa tonight. I believe Eichel is out as well. That’s a bad team, genuinely weak, that is playing hard to stay in games. The Rangers need a new coach but they also need new personnel and a new identity. That’s why it’s time to rebuild. This coming out flat, making unforced errors crap has been going on for too long.

I’ve long thought that the Islanders’ statisticians overcount things. Remember every year Matt Martin had so many more hits than anyone else in the league. Sure he could’ve legitimately led the league but it seems inflated. I remember watching their games and thinking the physical play is pretty even and then the stats say they’re out hitting the opponent 3 to 1. I wonder if it’s the same thing with shots sometimes.

Lettieri is not a guaranteed full time NHLer. Like Boo. The potential is there. He hustles. He does some things well. We’ve over hyped him because we’ve been so bad but long term he is probably just a depth forward and 4th liner who may slide up with injury occasionally.
