No, we don't have to.

Tampa didn't draft them, St-Louis didn't draft them, Pittsburgh didn't draft them, Caps didn't draft them, Hawks didn't draft them, LA didn't draft them.

Lmao.

What the f*** are you telling me lol?

St-Louis, Caps and LA didn’t draft them? Don’t try to bullshit lmao

I'll agree that it's not awful or anything but like I said in another post, I'd rather get the talent first. Then we can trade for the size/grit we lack. But that's just a personal preference.

I used to think this way but all I can think about is all those year including last one where we had a small skilled team and no physicality for so long.

I'm happy they've atleast acknowledged what they were doing wasn't working and are Changing it up.

One thing I remember from these last playoffs was Luke talking about how his bro Alex looked so good in the bubble and how he took his skating to another level. Well here's hoping Alex shares his new training regiment with his younger brother

Lmao.

Wilson and Byfuglien were both drafted by Washington and Chicago respectively, and played big roles as power forwards in their cup runs. And LA, really? Kopitar, Brown, King, Nolan, Clifford...That team was one of the heaviest we've seen in the last 25 years.

Nothing exciting but three solid picks. Drafting 8 ranks later in each round because of the "Playoffs", is not helping the cause.

I think there's a lot of promise with Guhle. Guys with that kind of size, mobility, overall skill, and mean streak don't come along often. Sure, there was a drop off at around 12 but all agreed the drop off wasn't significant like it often is. Montreal got a kid who shouldn't have been there according to a few mock drafts.

Tuch addresses an organizational need. Not flashy most likely, but look at what Tampa has done. They saw that all the skill couldn't get you passed a team with the speed to keep up and the ability to grind you down. They addressed those needs, and it played a big part in their victory this year. Tuch is a player that has the chance to provide that for Montreal.

Mysak dropped a lot. The injury likely played a part, but what I read and saw says he is a smart skilled player player. We'll see what sort of offense he can produce going forward, but he showed a defensive awareness too. Watching him skate, the skills he has, and his current size, he could be a Plekanec type of player. Nothing wrong with that if it comes to be.

The Caps did pick Wilson. Who else did they pick that could be linked to Tuch ?

So you don't really know if hes good or anything... and if hes a good pick... youre just being a good fan, right ?

no one knows if he’s a good pick until he develops. He was ranked in the second round by actual hockey scouts. Funny how that happened if he’s a bust.

Kucherov, Point, Subban, Josi, Weber, Gallagher, Tatar, Anderson, Petry... thats what I want in the 2nd. Not f***ing McCarron.

What is Tuch's game ?
Pure power.

Have you ever watched him play? If not, why are you making comments without any knowledge of the player?

Not that I’m a hockey scout or anything close to that, but I saw him play at least 15-games this past season at Avon Old Farms, Deerfield Academy, Taft, Fairfield Academy and other prep schools near me. He needs to work on his skating and will be able to do so at BU, good IQ, defensively aware, and mean. Has a quick release, powerful shot, and never say die hustle - which is rare for 17-year olds who are so much bigger than their opposition. He’ll likely play at 215-230 and may grow another 1-2 inches to 6’3 - 6’4

Is he a guarantee? No, but low probability he’s another Connor Crisp IMO. This was a good pick, I suspect another team was going to grab him which is why Habs grabbed him instead of waiting for #57 or 3rd round.

People being so unhappy so soon MINUTES after a pick just kills me lol, it honestly never gets old here

at least SEE what he does in college first before freaking out and giving up, these are the rounds where players are projected in 4-5 years anyway

For crissakes after the top 15 players you might as well be throwing darts on a dart board...what comes will be, win some lose some

10g 15 a first year in college would be a very successful ncaa rookie season

Complaining for the sake of complaining about this of all things really just exposes how miserable certain people constantly are

Lmao.

Tampa paid a high price to acquire them

Pittsburgh paid a price to acquire them.

Washington drafted/paid a price to get them.

St. Louis had some on the back end, but most upfront were acquired and not overall costly, so you get them.

Bergevin said he would like more offense. 2 of 3 top-48 picks don't even have an above-average offensive ceiling... What?
