Nothing exciting but three solid picks. Drafting 8 ranks later in each round because of the "Playoffs", is not helping the cause.
I think there's a lot of promise with Guhle. Guys with that kind of size, mobility, overall skill, and mean streak don't come along often. Sure, there was a drop off at around 12 but all agreed the drop off wasn't significant like it often is. Montreal got a kid who shouldn't have been there according to a few mock drafts.
Tuch addresses an organizational need. Not flashy most likely, but look at what Tampa has done. They saw that all the skill couldn't get you passed a team with the speed to keep up and the ability to grind you down. They addressed those needs, and it played a big part in their victory this year. Tuch is a player that has the chance to provide that for Montreal.
Mysak dropped a lot. The injury likely played a part, but what I read and saw says he is a smart skilled player player. We'll see what sort of offense he can produce going forward, but he showed a defensive awareness too. Watching him skate, the skills he has, and his current size, he could be a Plekanec type of player. Nothing wrong with that if it comes to be.
