Great move ... this is the one I was calling for ... Buff 2.0. I know he can't replace Buff but Luke will be the toughest D man on the team.

People will dismiss it but one of the major problems we had last year in the playoffs was clearing the net in front of Hellebuyck during the playoffs. Both DeMelo and Pionk got worked by Colorado.

I don't like throwing Miller in the press box but if Luke brings some physicality im fine with that for the poffs.

Seems like a depth move. Miller has been a head scratching healthy scratch so many times that he must be playing thru something.

I do think a 2nd & a 4th to be an overpayment for someone that doesn't move the needle much over Miller.

But for depth, an excellent move.

Now does Chevy go for the other Schenn?

Yep. If a good Hellebuyck is our best chance to win, make sure you optimize the chances that you get good Hellebuyck.

He's also been largely fine in his 30s.

Stanley-Schenn pairing would be pretty gross and not in a good way.

Prices are f***in crazy this year. Schenn is a 3rd pairing at best depth guy going for a second+

I would bump Schenn up with Morrissey ... Demelo loses a lot of board battles.
Also don't forget ... Schenn is not a rental he has another year after this.
