Maple Leafs sign Dan Cleary and run a top line of Cleary - Glendening - Hyman?
That article just says that the writer thinks KK would fit what the Wings may ask for....not that the Leafs would ever consider it.
But why? is he even that much of an upgrade? from what ive seen his posession stats are terrible but that is due to him starting somehting like 75% of plays in the defensive end. Can someone give me a quick and dirty analysis of this guy please?
Who's excited for the Hyman-Matthews-Glendening line?
True but at the same time, Khan usually doesn't mention names unless he's heard through a reliable source of a specific name being mentioned at the same time. That article just says that the writer thinks KK would fit what the Wings may ask for....not that the Leafs would ever consider it.
30 minutes a night seems good to me!
It was what our beat writer Ansar Khan thought we could possibly get for him, Not that we will.
In all seriousness, Glendening shut down Johnson and when he got hurt, thats when Johnson went beast mode and controlled the series. You will like Glenny in the playoffs no doubt. If they completely blanket and shutdown Crosby, Malkin, Bergeron, Backstrom, Point and Stamkos go for it.

Listen, we all know thats coming from the Detroit side. Leafs fans have nothing to worry about. Just let us have our fun before Glenny gets traded for a 4th.Here's the exact quote from the article...take what you will out of it.
"The Red Wings have made it clear they're not giving him away; they want a decent pick or one of Toronto's many good prospects. Right wing Kasperi Kapanen, who's appeared in 16 games for the Leafs this season, is a possibility."
I know i read the article, But at the same time Khan could've heard through the grapevine that Detroit would be asking for Kasperi Kapanen and that's why he mentioned him by name. Here's the exact quote from the article...take what you will out of it.

Babcock *really* likes him. This seems like a pointless trade. The upgrade from Dominic Moore is minimal at best. The Leafs should be acquiring defensemen, ideally two of them and not wasting any time on a fourth line center. This is a waste of assets acquiring Glendening.
Unless Bert and a 2nd are coming with Glenny I don't see how we even listen to that.I know i read the article, But at the same time Khan could've heard through the grapevine that Detroit would be asking for Kasperi Kapanen and that's why he mentioned him by name.

What now, another 2nd rounder for a 4th liner? If you can't find a 4th line player in free agency in offseason you failed as a general manager.
"Tie goes to the vet" Prepare to hear this a lot.
We won't give up our second but we'll give you Kapanen, that makes sense..................Looks like the deal will include Kasperi Kapanen going to DET! That would be a HUGE get for the Wings!

Obviously Babcock feel he's or he wouldn't be asking for him.Does anyone have any proof this guy is better than Moore?
