Well, thought I'd get at least halfway thru the offseason but Luc just confirmed I'll be watching a different team next season.

All I took from that press conference is that we'll be running it back most likely with Bergevin as they view themselves as just a piece away.

Robitaille asked about how he initial said "Hiller et al are under contract," insinuating they're staying. But then said it's up to the GM. Someone from the press called him on that. He said "The GM has to be free to make decisions."

So it sounds like he'd be willing to leave it up to the GM. But I doubt he'd hire someone who will clean house.

Didn't sound like he would be okay with a new GM firing Hiller.

That's kind of what I was referring to. I doubt he'd hire a GM who is set on firing Hiller. But he wants to hire someone who will keep Hiller but he can say "has freedom to do what he wants."

The only comment he said that inspired any sort of hope was him talking about a lack of killer instinct on the team. Nothing was particularly interesting or inspiring.
