The main thing I hate about Lightning fans re: LTIR is them whining about how legitimate Kucherov's injury was, when we all know if he had to be back 3 weeks earlier to be eligible for the playoffs he would have been. Same thing for Chucky. It's in the rules, use it. I hate the rule but I'm a big fan of exploiting it.

Imo he'll take over PP1 fairly quickly. It's his first game, they'll ease him in.

Would like a statement win tonight, I know the division title doesn't matter (although that's always hard for me to get my head around as a European football/soccer fan) but we could easily slip to 3rd with Tampa breathing down our necks and the leafs winning pretty consistently... Would much rather we go for the easier first round matchup, esp as the wildcard battle is likely to go to the very end.

imo either they leave it as it is now or they just modify it so that there's not cap ceiling at a certain date prior to the TDL.

It's one thing to do it one time when you actually lose a player of value for a significant amount of time, it's another when you do it multiple years in a row *cough*Vegas*cough*

The truth is it's not something that should never be used, it's literally there to be used, it's not a loophole, it's a rule. The issue is when a team abuses it.

I think the tit for tat booing at Four Nations was fine. Canadians booing the American anthem -- and therefore, Americans -- before every game is going to get old fast for US-born players.

That said, they will not trade him to the Panthers.
