The cavemen celebrated their victory over the tribe of capital letters with a massive feast, complete with roasted meat, lentil stew, and plenty of bread baked by Breadman himself. The sound of tribal war music echoed through the valley as everyone danced and sang in celebration.
Mika and Panarin led the charge in preparing the feast, ensuring that everyone had their fill of nutritious and delicious food. Meanwhile, Trouba entertained the crowd with his impressive feats of strength, lifting large boulders and felling trees with ease. Igor stood guard, ever watchful for any potential threats that may arise.
As the night wore on, Patrick Kane took to the center of the celebration and showed off his impressive skills with a stick and a ball. He had fully recovered from his malnourishment and was now back to his former self, dazzling the crowd with his speed and precision.
Vladimir Tarasenko, who had been instrumental in the battle, was also there to partake in the festivities. He regaled the crowd with tales of his past victories and demonstrated his skills with a bow and arrow, hitting targets with ease.
Gallant, the wise leader of the cavemen, presided over the celebration, his presence commanding respect and admiration from all who were present. He gave a rousing speech, thanking everyone for their hard work and dedication in the battle, and praising their courage and bravery in the face of danger.
As the night drew to a close, the cavemen gathered around a roaring fire, their bellies full and their hearts content. They knew that they had achieved a great victory, and that they would forever be remembered as heroes in the annals of caveman history.
Hopefully the cave paintings at the end of the season will rival Altamira.

No line looked bad tonight. No line lost the CF battle by more than one. No line lost the SC battle. No line lost the xGF battle. This was the best team effort we have seen in two or three weeks.

Give credit where it’s due. The Rangers dominated early and the Caps had a strong push back, especially in the third period. The Rangers could have walked out with a 5-1 win, but that is extremely difficult to do at this level when there are good players on both sides.
And thankfully no OV.

To me the most egregious was you just gave Washington multiple pps they make it 4-3. On the next shift Braden Schneider is absolutely pasted from him (he should have stayed down). Play on. It was an obvious call but they didn’t want to mess with Washington’s momentum. And rhey almost score. Disgraceful

By the way Larry’s islanders the second best team in the area got trounced by a kings team we hammered with 4 dmen. They’re 10 back from us with 2 more games played. Get that garbage out of here. They stink. They’re lucky everyone behind them stinks too.

We win that game tomorrow which I am certain we are going to do and all of sudden we’re 4-0-1 in our last 5.

Really nice to see Kane have a game like that.. He's getting more comfortable out there for sure.
If Kane scores on those clappers in the playoffs then MSG is going to go wild. Mika is great with his one timers but Kane staring down the goalie and blasting one by him is sexy.

I hate to break it to everyone, but Kreider won't allow his line to stay together. He will mail it in not next game, but the game after if they are kept together. Despite the fact that he is, again, objectively better with Trocheck and it just so happens that Kane looks pretty good with them too.

Or you could just keep the 7th D who knows how you want to play rather than worrying about finding another moving part 7th D. Lindgren healthy means neither play.

And yes. I watched the game. Mid of the 2nd... when the Caps spent 25% of the rest of the game up a man? Might have something to do with "bad defense." But be pissed off about a game management close score asskicking. If you watched the game, even the broadcasters were talking about the Rangers being effectively locked into their spot. Meanwhile, they are playing teams either fighting for their last-gasp chance to make it in, or a team full of players playing for their NHL lives in an otherwise lost season.

They won, they looked utterly dominant until game management, and still a battery of you bitching like they are 10 points out and trying to scrap to get in.
Braun has played more games here than Harpur? or around the same? I don't understand your logic. Braun > Harpur. Braun cheaper than Harpur. Braun can play both sides, like he did last season for us. You're wrong and I forgive you.

They didn't dominate until game management. They dominated until they got too loose and cute with it. SELF INFLICTED.

It happens all the time but 16 pages of complaints in the PGT losses and barely 4 pages when they win. Hmmmmm very interesting

There really isn’t much to complain about, it was a good win, yeah the 3rd period got a little dicey, but they still got the job done. Patrick Kane has arrived, and Mika had a steak for lunch.

Exactly- this is why I spend way less time on this board than I use to. People will complain that the puck was not round enough after a game 7 Stanley Cup Ranger win- I’m convinced of it!
Even some of the complaints are silly. Who has Top 6 forwards or Top 4 defensemen just sitting in the press box waiting just in case?

Do they have to play better Defense? Absolutely, but we’re getting Lindgren back, the goalies are playing well, and as the team figures it out they’re going to see what they can and can’t get away with. That first period was a taste of what this team can be, and it’s really exciting.

Mikkola - doesn't suck? I was not a fan of this guy when he showed up, but he is proving me wrong. Might be a stud when he returns to bottom pair.

In the first period alone that was the best the team has looked since the new additions. A glimpse perhaps of what they are capable of?

They went back to the loosey-goosey style of play after that. Some bad penalties at inopportune times. Could have cost them but they hung in there.

I thought Igor looked way better.

Patiently waiting for the kid line to have break out of the slump. Lafreniere was engaged last night. Was very physical. Kakko hasen't registered a shot on goal since the Bruins game. Now he's not the shooter on that line however, he has had some chances. Missed the net quite a few times. I felt like for a while Chytil was getting a lot of scoring chances. He really only slightly better then 1 shot per game in the last 5 games. Laf has been both physical and he is shooting the puck. Feel like the other two need to step it up. Maybe they are worn down?

My 7yo daughter enjoyed it, too. I thought it was cute myself. Sometimes there were some glitches like on the Trouba goal but otherwise it was a neat thing.

Bluey is great. Although the dad in that show makes me feel like an awful dad myself.
Haha totally agree about blueys dad. Both ky wife and i feel awful.

The other thing about the kids broadcast was i felt they could have done much more. Like commercial breaks they should have had a short cartoon about the greens training for their nhl game. Instead u get a blue screen where my daughter thought the tv was broke.

Also i wish there were fun and crazy celebrations after goals.

My critiques of Chytil have been showing since he's been on this cold streak stuck at 19 goals. His vision and playmaking are suspect. If he's not putting the puck in the net he leaves a lot to be desired. He has great pace and energy though... sometimes too much, where he's moving too fast for his body/brain to react appropriately.

Hasn't scored a goal since Feb. 8th.... 16 games.

Penguins lost to Montreal which is a nice bonus.

Oh and Messier may be the worst color commentator I've ever heard. Just a painful broadcast to listen to.

he wasn't good but a lot of it was because of Levy. he really sucks at play-by-play. put Mess with a good pbp guy and I bet he'd seem a lot better. they basically treated the game as a podcast with sudden break-ins describing the play, it was giving me anxiety.
