But the only thing that matters is deaths and hospitalizations. If it's not putting you in the hospital it's no longer a big deal. Eradicating it is impossible.

The upcoming antivirals are promising in terms of eradicating the virus.....at least on the individual level. Unlike the kitchen sink that's been thrown at COVID patients, antivirals should directly fight and destroy the virus. The big catch is you have to start treatment within a narrow time frame of getting COVID.
