He's shooting and converting right around his career average isn't he?

One was a tap in and one was off his elbow IIRC. A goal is a goal but would be great to see his shot return like in those Dallas highlight vids.

I agree his shot was as affected by the concussions as the rest of his game but I'm not sure he ever had anything more than above average.

One of the best 2way wingers in the game, true 1st liner.
How many strong D-plays/steals does he make per game?
A ton, love watching this Lou.

He really is incredible defensively. He's always been good but he's like a brick wall this year. I don't think he's lost one battle... and going near him is just asking to lose the puck.

We're definitely seeing the Loui Eriksson of 2009-2012 right now.

It's night and day since he first started. Hated him his first year, thought he was pretty decent his second year, and now he's legitimately having a great season so far.

He may win more one-on-one battles than Bergy . . . consistently disrupts the opposing breakout with his forecheck. Just so solid.

It's almost as if he had back to back concussions and a new system to learn!

Loui is an elite player. I think he would have received way way more slack if he hadn't been traded for Segs. I think he's going to give management a really big decision at the deadline. He's pretty perfect for Bruins hockey and is an all around flawless guy to have in your leadership group. He's a guy you put an A on and you rarely want to trade. But I have no idea what Sweeney wants to do.

If it's me I give him a 3 year deal with a plan to trade him in year 3 when the young wingers are ready to come in.

He and Krejci have got to get on track together offensively, second game in a row with no ES shots and only 1 in 4 games.

Loui is off to to very good start.

He has always been a good player...funny how you play better when you haven't had two concussions in one season.

4 is the shortest possible contract now. 4x5.5 is perfect with a NT in the first 2 and modified in the last two. this horse is gifting and some of y'all want to stare him right in the mouf.

I think Loui will look for more than 3 years. I would offer 4. He's a big part of the forward group

Hopefully our management is watching Lou's play and are telling them they need to re'sign him and that he is worth a lot more to us than a late 1st round pick.

He's gotta get more than 1 ES shot on net in 4 games. I thought Krejci was the answer but they haven't connected on squat ES. He has 0 ES goals and 4 ES assists. Pastrnak's been mostly ineffective also. 10 more games and I'd be changing this up if it doesn't start working.

If Boston is out of a playoff spot by the time the trade deadline rolls around, then I expect Eriksson to lead the list of Bruins players being shopped around. He would get a first-round pick and more if his great play continues.

Late 1st just doesn't do it for me, and this shouldn't be a factor in re-signing players of Lou's caliber.
We should go with the attitude that Lou is an important player and can be for years and we have/want to re-sign him, not that oh well if we are out of the playoffs we sell him if not we re-sign him.

Creates just more problems, creates a huge hole into our top6 and puts our next few years at risk.

We need top talent, we have tons of depth but we have nothing to replace Lou with.

Loui's now got 6 games with Krejci and has 4 ES shots on net and 1 goal and 3 assists ES. Krejci has 16 shots on net and 2 goals 0 assists playing with Eriksson ES. So far this combo is not working, hopefully they get 14 more games or so to work it out.

I thought you liked Eriksson with Krejci?

I wanted and still want Eriksson with Krejci. I want what's best for the team and I believed this combo to be the best for the Bs. Through 6 games together they are not producing like I thought they would but it is only 6 games.

So Eriksson has 4 pts in 6 games at even strength? That's pretty damn good.

Well if Loui doesn't work with Krejci, which like you said it's only 6 games (and i thought he has looked solid with him) then its time to move him. Doesn't work well with Bergeron, 3rd line? It's that or trade, and he's too good for the 3rd line.
