Not really bothered by this game, Team played good overall (I'm shocked SHOCKED they got goalied by an ex-Leaf). No ref BS. Basically, whatever.

Not sure what I am annoyed with the most

that Leafs lost
or
HF Leafs Servers taking forever to load

I don't even................................

You forgot the 45 times they showed the hit-em-with-the-4 like Auston Matthews commercial.

That is a tough back to back, never got into Raleigh until 12:47am and then an early than normal start. Not excuses, just facts. Slow start vs a team that was ready to play. Gave up what seemed like five breakaways?

Woll kept it close, and I thought they did a good job of generating some chances later in the second and throughout the third. What Domi was doing on the three-on-one we will never know. Shoot the puck friend.

Andersen made the saves when needed. Needed more pressure on him, looked like he was starting to crack.

Similar trends continue though. PK not good enough. PP not clutch. Unable to get to the dangerous areas against teams with good defensive structure.

They went down with a fight though, and I appreciate that. They could have backed away and took that loss like they have in the past.

Team is better with Benoit and without Brodie.

Robertson sucked. But the guy can shoot. I'd rather he be a scratch come playoff time.

at 5v5, it was pretty even in reality but special team was awful

yeah im agree too many passenger. Matthews and Domi was great and it was basically 75% of the offensive leafs bring in this game from those 2...nylander the only time we saw him for vood reason was for his pp drawing.

the only reason brodie had been scratch is to give him a break for a mind reset because if toronto want to have aucces in playoff, they will need brodie playing like he can.
Expecting the Brodie of two years ago is unrealistic. He doesn’t hit, gives the puck away easily, doesn’t provide offence, can’t skate well anymore, etc. Time to accept he’s done and start working on pairs that will be productive in the playoffs.

Too many passengers. McMann and Holmberg with no energy. Nylander coasting most of the game. Bertuzzi entirely disinterested. PK still shit, PP just awful.

Keefe will be the downfall of this team. Why were Benoit and Timmins out? Nothing like keeping the same defence pairs for two games in a row. They have to force Brodie into the lineup. This game was only close because of Woll.
Looked like Bertuzzi wasn't well enough to play.

Should have waited until Tue.

Matthews I though was pretty much the only dangerous Leaf. Big Ed looked good on the back end. What a warrior

Woll was excellent tonight. Good for Robertson to get a goal tonight, nice snipe, but I think he's the first guy out when Marner comes back. We just need more from him, on a consistent basis.... he's just not there yet. Knies too really... I think they'll both be good eventually, but neither are where we need them to be yet. McCabe had a bad game, no question there... but he's been good most of the rest of the time... so it is what it is.. move on.

PP and PK need work... It's critical for any playoff success.

That was a winnable game.

Woll needs better support. Shame that we couldn’t drive some momentum.

Felt like the puck was bouncing horribly at almost every decent opportunity. Special teams are concerning. To say the least.

Still a chunk of games left. Need to find a good rhythm heading into the playoffs. Obviously getting healthy is one thing, but Keefe needs to figure out this D group. Too many question marks.

To me it seems like our locks are: Rielly, McCabe, Liljegren, Edmundson.

Brodie, Lyubushkin, Benoit, Timmins are up in the air. Brodie just doesn’t have his shit together. Lyubushkin is just a worse version of Edmundson. Benoit plays a playoff type of game but he’s untested in the playoffs and perhaps more prone to mistakes. Timmins provides the best impact offensively, but when pressured he commits a lot of errors in his own end.

I would much rather keep Robertson in the lineup ahead of Gregor and Dewar (they don’t provide much, they don’t score or hit).

That whole 4th line just is relly meh.

I would much rather see Robertson in the line up over Gregor, that's for sure. I'm on the fence with Dewar. He's probably good for secondary PK but he's definitely not better than say a Kampf in the other end.

At this point, going into the playoffs I would dress 11-7.

Focus on 3 lines that can score. Forwards 10/11 can be PK’s.

For the life of me, I cannot understand the Leaf's slavish dedication to the drop pass when approaching center ice during our PPs. It stalls any speed we could offer when entering the other team's zone, we lose time on the clock, we have players whose skills offer options, every team in the league is prepared for the play because it is so predictably, consistently, annoyingly presented.

As a tactic, it can be an effective way to utilize your PP. But, when it becomes a default setting, every team in the league will learn how to neutralize it. It is so frustrating to watch it time and again.

leafs are too thin to hope making anything without him, sorry

if youre thinking leafs will replace a dman playing againdt toughest oppositiongamr after game with 5/6/7th d when they already pretty weak...Good luck leafs will need it

I literally rolled my eyes tonight watching the PP.

They did add the centre ice line bumper a while back. Whoa... just delaying the bump back even more ffs.

I am okay with it, as one of a few options. It is the only option, which is ludicrous in it's own right.

If that game proved anything, it was:

1 - Brodie is done
2 - Robertson should be done
3 - our PK is way too passive
4 - we collapse too much, leaving the points open
5 - JT should go back to 3C and 2PP
6 - JT should not be allowed on the ice at the same time as Willy.

At least we weren’t shutout.

Carolina and Edmonton recently ran our show when they had a 6 on 5 advantage. Meanwhile we look like chickens with our heads cutoff when we do it.
I think the last time we were shut out was in 2021

What a crazy streak that is

Game was still there to be had. Couldn’t get a few bounces around canes net. PK is a real concern. Figure it out already Get aggressive.

Brodie got called out by announcers on first goal but he did nothing wrong. Was McCabe who screwed that up with the pass up the middle.
