It wasn't sea levels that became higher. It was ice pressing terra firma down. Then when the ice melted ground started to rise back up.

The high coast area has risen about 300 m so far.

True but the ground is still rising today. That's a slow process

If the melt was due to climatic reasons and happened gradually there would have been an equilibrium met with water levels and the earth rebounding.

If the melt was due to an asteroid and sped the process up you would see instant sea level rises and tectonic effects as the mantle moves creating earthquakes.

Abu Hureyra, it turns out, has another story to tell. Found among the cereals and grains and splashed on early building material and animal bones was meltglass, some features of which suggest it was formed at extremely high temperatures—far higher than what humans could achieve at the time—or that could be attributed to fire, lighting or volcanism.
"To help with perspective, such high temperatures would completely melt an automobile in less than a minute," said James Kennett, a UC Santa Barbara emeritus professor of geology. Such intensity, he added, could only have resulted from an extremely violent, high-energy, high-velocity phenomenon, something on the order of a cosmic impact.
Based on materials collected before the site was flooded, Kennett and his colleagues contend Abu Hureyra is the first site to document the direct effects of a fragmented comet on a human settlement. These fragments are all part of the same comet that likely slammed into Earth and exploded in the atmosphere at the end of the Pleistocene epoch, according to Kennett. This impact contributed to the extinction of most large animals, including mammoths, and American horses and camels; the disappearance of the North American Clovis culture; and to the abrupt onset of the end-glacial Younger Dryas cooling episode.
The team's findings are highlighted in a paper published in the Nature journal Scientific Reports.

Feels like we are living in the next one now...
Technology might be moving us into a world that will look completely different in the next 50 years. Reliance on computers is going to dumb down society to the point where the natural world around us appears to be conquered.

There are so many low lying places that have been flooded by the construction of Dams it's crazy. In the Mediterranean alone there must be countless submerged structures.

Take for example Hasankeyf. Basically the garden of Eden flooded by a dam built in the last 5 years, erasing any chance of excavating the region. Sam can be said with Tell Abu Hureyra.



There is no evidence of a civilization being wiped out there but the is evidence of human activity.

I was about to say that.
The video would be more enjoyable without him making this a personal agenda against whatever is "main stream" community.

Evidence of Cosmic Impact at Abu Hureyra, Syria at the Younger Dryas Onset (~12.8 ka): High-temperature melting at >2200 °C | Scientific Reports

The observed range of characteristics for AH glass (e.g., low water, high-temperature minerals, low remanent magnetism, and minerals with low oxygen fugacity) allow us to exclude all potential origins for AH glass, except cosmic impact-melted glass and tektites, with the latter offering the best match. Thus, the formation of AH glass appears to require the occurrence of an intense and sudden high‐temperature event similar to known tektite-producing impacts. The collective evidence is best explained by the hypothesis that at least one high-energy, high-temperature, hypervelocity event occurred near Abu Hureyra ~12,800 years ago, most likely an airburst possibly accompanied by ground impacts by impactor fragments.

The YDB hypothesis posits multiple airbursts/impacts across at least four continents1,3,5,8,9,10,11,20,69,73,74,75,76,77,78. These are proposed to have resulted from a one of a series of short-period, active comets known to break up frequently and to shed dozens to thousands of fragments that are 10 to 1000 m in diameter, each capable of producing catastrophic airburst/impacts, as discussed in detail in Napier3,79, Wolbach et al.13,14, and Pino et al.9 (Appendix, Text S8). The largest cometary debris clusters are proposed to be capable of causing thousands of airbursts within a span of minutes across one entire hemisphere of Earth. An encounter with such a million-km-wide debris cluster would be thousands of times more probable than a collision with a 100-km-wide comet or a 10-km asteroid. The YDB hypothesis proposes this mechanism to account for the impact at Abu Hureyra and coeval impacts across >14,000 km of the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.

Once considered a fringe theory now being accepted by the scientific community.
