I would say we should lose for a better draft pick but I cannot cheer against LA to lose. Especially against and Albertan opponent.

That said go every team right behind LA in the league standings.

Yeah, I won't pull for any Kings losses, but I'd like to see them at least put on a show out there.

****ing Gamecentre blackouts **** me off. All Oilers/Flames games that are on local cable stations are blacked out. So I cannot watch. The **** off is Rogers owns both the local stations in Alberta and the Gamecenter in Canada. So they are blocking themselves. This is the first kings game this year in Alberta I will not be going to. Maybe I have been bad luck.

Carter has 2 goals, both empty net goals, one of them a PP EN goal, since the bye week. Since being Kesler's punching bag, he has exactly 0 points 5v5 in 10 games.

Record against the Pacific:
Oilers, 13-4-3, .725
Ducks, 13-6-4, .652
Sharks, 13-8-3, .604
Flames, 11-9-3, .543
Canucks, 11-10-1, .523
Kings, 9-10-2, .476
Coyotes, 10-12-5, .463

Anyone hear of who is in net or lineup for tonight?

I want Brown and Carter back together, ideal top 9 for me below.

Pearson-Carter-Brown
Kempe/Gaborik-Kopitar-Toffoli
Kempe/Gaborik-Dowd-Iginla

And for D, need to go all out now which means allowing Drew not to baby Forbort. Time for kids to either step up and win or lose but gain further experience by not being sheltered.

Muzzin-Drew
Martinez-Ladue
Forbort-Gravel/McNabb

Ride the top two line for 25+ minutes, and the second pair 20+.

biggest reason LA is where they are. Need to be better against the division .

I think the Kings care less about making the playoffs than the fans do. How many times have we said "this is a big game, surely they'll step up and perform"? And how many times have we been let down? The games against Vancouver, Arizona, St. Louis and Calgary is enough to prove to me how much they care, and exactly how much of a below average team this is.

You think Bishop gets the call tonight?

I imagine this is for fantasy, but I think part of why there was the early pull on Quick was so if Bishop failed last night Quick could go tonight. Biggest reason was to try and change the tempo of the game though.

I hope we play Bishop in 7 of the last 11 games. I want Quick to get as much rest as possible, and to not risk injuring himself during the final games of a season where we are basically eliminated.

I want them to alternate. Having Quick out of game action for almost a full year would build rust. Want him sharp but not overworked.

I wonder if coaches ever consider giving their goalies a shot count like a pitch count in baseball. Once he face 35 shots he gets yanked haha.

Don't forget about home regulation losses to Philly, Dallas, Detroit, Arizona, Florida, Tampa Bay, Carolina, and Vancouver, plus another SO loss at home to the Coyotes. That's 1 of a possible 18 points, at home, against teams that are currently not in the playoffs. Get just half of the 18 points, and they're in a playoff spot today.

Since the bye week, they've lost at home to the Coyotes in regulation and the SO, and also lost in regulation to Vancouver. That's 5 of 6 points missed, in games they have to win to make the playoffs. 5 more points puts them right on the doorstep.

They were in a playoff position when they went on their bye. They have yet to come back from their time off. 6-7-3 in the 16 games, and 11 of them were at home.

Kings are chasing the Preds as of right now. They are 3-0-0 against Nashville this year, winning 2 of those games after regulation. So they're +4 head to head against Nashville, but sit 6 points back in the standings. That's not good.

Title and OP are thumbs up.

As much as I want to watch Edmonton, I'm still super bitter about yesterday. I can't even bring myself to watch. Call it bad fan if you want, but I'm still disgusted in a way I haven't been with this organization pretty much ever.

There might have been a time in my younger days where I'd say you should watch, but you're not being paid to do it. The players are getting paid a lot and don't even show up. They may or may not want to play for their coach anymore. Boohoo, go play hockey. Anything fans choose to do is fine by me.

You should at least watch the Bob Miller games, fan wise.

It's still fun to watch just to see how much worse they can get as a team. They resemble a group that has never played together in the past. Goes to show you how affected they are by the number of losses over the years. Perhaps an indication of who the true locker room leaders were of this team.

Oh for sure. I definitely can't miss those. I just can't even put words to the feeling. So better that I hide from the next stretch of games so I can enjoy Bob!

You would've been better served coming into the season with extremely low expectations. Would've saved you the stress of feeling bummed out when these bums fail to show up in big games down a big stretch ;)

It feels really weird when I'm not watching the Kings so I'll tune in even if I'm expecting a loss.
