I just want to clarify an earlier post of mine and then I will leave it alone. I'm not saying AV SHOULD get fired, what I was saying is that if the team gets off to a poor start next year and is out of playoff position out after the first half, I could see Sather/Dolan, in their belief that this roster is knocking on the door for a Cup, make a huge mistake and believe a coaching change is the "last piece of the puzzle" to getting Henrik to a Cup.

I think that would be a HUGE mistake, but could I see Sather, who, don't forget, has tenure for life from Dolan, doing something like that? Yes sir, yes i could.

This game literally could not have gone better for the Kings. Goalie stands on his head. Score 3 goals on under 20 shots. Choke the life out of the forecheck of the other team. Tip of the cap to them, they played a perfect road game.

The Rangers had zero puck luck tonight. Zero. Watching tonight's game made me sad. I'm not even angry. Just sad. I bet Lundqvist wants the first goal back, but you can't fault him for #2 or #3.

Can we use the compliance buyout on Richards and do a regular buyout on Nash?

Things will calm down after about a week. Then people will be talking draft, buying out Richards and free agency. Before you know it we'll be talking about training camp again. Offseason is going to be very short this year.

Shame....a win tonight would have put us right back on it.
Some real bad puck luck tonight but kudos to Quick and the Kings, they really know how to capitalize on their chances unlike the Rangers.

The worst part is how all the obnoxious, over-zealous [mod] on the main boards were right.

The Rangers aren't even a paper tiger. Just a little mosquito that wants to be taken seriously.

Quick is going to have a chance to live a childhood dream and raise the Cup in MSG. He's gonna play balls out on Wednesday. It's going to be scary.

The resilience of that kid is unreal.. he never gives up or sulks like hank.. Quick is a spinning imagine of New York when your down you never quit... I wish Jonathan quick was a ranger

Pretty tragic, but honestly I gave up all my anger after the no interference call in Game 2. I'm upset more than anything, but whatever. Kings played their best game of the series.

Not that Henrik played bad but Quick was the better goalie here. Some spectacular saves--two where he was reaching back with his stick. When the other goalie outshines Henrik we have a problem.

Anyway I've pretty much gone through a gallon of 9% microbrew IPA tonight. The healing powers of alcohol. That always helps you through these things. The thought occurred to me in my semi-drunken state that maybe we've got them right where we want them. Pretty much the whole of me doesn't want this to end...so....

Anyway it's up to Henrik to play better than Quick. The series isn't over yet.

Too bad Henrik cold not steal any games in this series. Quick has been lights out since the Brassard goal in Game 2. Henrik....not so much. Quick is a big game goalie. Nash--still a waste. MSL must be worn out as he was no factor, Richards the "de-facto captain" is de-facto finished. It is one thing to lose. it is another to be embarrassed. As usual, we are the latter.

Get a W at home. Get a W in LA. Go back home for game 6 and see what happens. Sounds like a plan.

Just gotta focus on getting on the plane back to LA. Who knows what'll happen if we get there? One game at a time, here.

Not going to call you less of a fan or anything like that if you don't believe, but please don't try to take this away from the rest of us who are going to continue to cheer the **** out of this team every time we get to watch them on TV. I mean, the Rangers are in the cup finals. They are on the verge of being swept, but they are there. I'm pretty cool with that, still.

Tough game tonight. Some real harsh bounces. That goal in the first period was beyond deflating. John Moore went to the wrong guy leaving Carter wide open, tough deflection there, of course it goes off the glove and top shelf, though. Seems to happen to the Rangers quite often.

One game at a time here.

Yep, give it a week or so and the board will be fine. Other boards, especially one, will spew their hatred and laugh at it, but they didnt even make the playoffs, so meh. The offseason ought to be pretty good actually. Richards bought out, we'll see who he is replaced with. I can see some other guys shipped out too.
