GDT: Los Angeles Kings at Tampa Bay Lightning - February 7, 2015 - 2:00 p.m. (PST)

With the likely loss of Martinez for at least a game or two, I find myself hoping that Dean decides to wait to make a deal. I don't want to see him give up any part of the future if this team continues to struggle and is several points out of a playoff spot as the trade deadline approaches.
 
If you don't notice a top three goal scorer in the NHL...

The Kings road record is the biggest problem. If they were a .500 team they'd be in the playoffs by a fair margin.
 
Trust me to miss the game we win, four goals too. I might miss the next game too, see if we can win two in a row. :)
 
Tampa Bay looked like another Pittsburgh out there, skating around aimlessly and giving up a bunch of odd-man rushes.

Can't judge a team on one game I've watched but if that's their M.O. then they aren't lasting long in the playoffs.

you shouldve seen 'em last year in the playoffs....i think they were the only team to get swept

I didn't think they were that bad but they were clearly rattled by the physical play. They skated like the Hawks before we started laying the body, then they started headhunting and hearing footsteps. And then the smaller players that are used to freewheeling like Johnson and Kucherov, as talented as they are, became pretty much nonfactors.

Lots of offensive punch, regardless. Let's not pretend we ran all over them, they had their chances and hit a few posts and Quick came up.
 
Martinez day-to-day w/minor concussion-like symptoms per rosen. Doubt there will be a callup since he's DTD, will just have McNabb back in I'm sure.
 
Didn't they wear those yesterday? :laugh:

If it had just the Lightning logo instead of BOLTS it would be even funnier, that much closer to being an exact copy of our uni's.
 
They're ugly. Like ours. If you're gonna blatantly copy something, at least copy something nice. The blue is ugly; at least black, silver, and white match.
