That Martin hit was right in the numbers. Thankfully Kopitar softened the blow for Williams, and we're better than Canucks fans who are still crying over Toffoli's hit.

I guarantee the second the Kings start playing physical is when the refs decide to pull their whistles back out.
Cizikas is a ****. He can't skate near anyone without slashing them. And that was as blatant a board on Williams as you will ever see, not that we would have done anything with the PP but still. Should have been 2 minutes.

I know we are harping at the refs, I am not asking this to point it out but more for the knowledge of the game.
The play when the Islanders player launched Lewis broken stick, being that it hit someone or was in the direction of the puck, should that have been a penalty? My memory is a little hazy but I remember a Kings player getting a penalty for a similar play a few years back, I think it was O'Donnell.

Still don't understand the Doughty penalty. Just because a player without the puck is hit, doesn't necessarily mean it's interference. It happens all the time.

Doughty had no intention of ever playing the puck, just the man. I can see why they called it. I probably would have called neither or both since Clutterbuck was doing the same thing. I'm more concerned about the stick play and the drill in the numbers. But period is over, just have to regroup now
