They would need help to get in, if they drop this game, then win the next two.

They can't rely on outside help because they aren't getting it. They shot themselves in the foot throughout the season in blowing a number of third period leads and giving away points.

This team has had trouble all season long in performing an entire 60 minutes. This isn't a sudden problem either, it's been a season long issue that hasn't been fixed, and their backs are already against the wall.

I think having even a competent third line center gets this team in the playoffs.

And the failures this past June will now result in the Kings having 10 years of cap penalties, that is in addition to not having the cap space to trade for a 3C that they desperately needed.

That was the worst move in DL's tenure as Kings GM and it's not even close, even if we miss the playoffs and Sekera walks it still doesn't compare.

Hanifin. We have enough centers and young forwards. The best way to get a great defensman is by drafting one, since teams rarely trade them away.

I live in Calgary, born in Edmonton. Oilers fan, cheering for the Kings tonight and have been cheering for the Kings for awhile now, since I cannot stand the Flames and don't want to see my rivals in the playoffs.
