If they continue to play like this, they won't be in the playoff's.

Like Sutter said "This is not the same team as last year".

He's right, neither are most of the teams in the league. AHA,SJ,CHI all have different players, yet the continue to win and don't flat out SUCK on the road.

It's a bit of that, but also Brown, for all that he's done, is scoring at a Trevor Lewis pace. Whatever needs to happen to wake him up, I trust Sutter to bring it out of him if it can be done.

Sure, he's struggling to score so I can agree with that. But it seems odd for Sutter to specifically talk about Brown's play in last nights game, which is what Fox inferred, since Brown was giving more effort than most of the players on the team, got a point with that sweet pass to TT (might've got another one if King could've handled the pass when Brown got it to him right in front of the net), drew several penalties, and is only one of many Kings struggling in the scoring department.

And the Richards bashfest has begun early.

LOL, from Ziggy, he was one of the main guys defending him all summer, now you are putting him into the "He Man Richards Haters Club" because he described exactly what happened on the Oilers goal.

Just curious Scott, how would you describe Richards defensive positioning on the Oilers first goal?

I find it funny that the telecast has embraced showing shot attempts instead of just SOG. It's like "see, we are doing things"

Can't stand their first periods anymore. And 1 out 7 on the 5 on 3, I know some have been short but that's just sad with all the talent on this roster.

I'd say it was bad, but he's right that it's a hyperfocus on Richards when Carter was even closer to that guy and King lost him off the boards. Richards should have read it and would have had the easiest time picking the guy up, but just like last few games, it was a collective forward suck on defense.

Can we just give it a rest ? Mike Richards career is over, I think everyone knows that.

Sick of hearing about Richards a fourth line nobody, when Kopitar is yet again a ghost.

Kopitar is 27, not 29 or 30, Is the franchise driving force at Center. I am way more worried about his game.

Wish DL would go down and just start yelling trades incoming or at least make up some rumors again

I suspect we may start hearing rumors soon, but unlike 2012 DL may not be bluffing.

Nothing drastic but this team needs to trade a lesser player who has been here awhile like Clifford, Stoll, Richards or King to wake up the entire group.

I'm betting the Kings lockerroom is not a quiet one right now. I envision Darryl ripping into them. I expect a much better 2nd period.

Probably. I'd make a terrible coach. No water cooler would be left standing after a period like that. lol

I'm starting to think that he doesn't play mind games but what he says is just so out there that everyone thinks he's trolling us because it couldn't be true.

DS is in full George Costanza mode. Do the opposite of what his instincts are...bench your best pp dman, bench your hardest hitting dman, demote your best forward to 4th line, play your goalie back-to-back...yada yada yada.

I've been a major Stoll basher in the past but he's been the best guy out of that group. The other three have provided literally nothing this season. If they are traded then so be it. Give their spots to kids from Manchester who aren't complacent and will show some fire.

Richards is always going to be a focus because of his salary and his past accomplishments, five years ago the guy was on Team Canada at a best vs. best tournament and three years ago was stellar for the Kings in the playoffs. And now he barely looks like an NHL'er.

I just think it's ridiculous that a poster (who has been far from a Richards basher) is criticized by Scott for making a fair comment, Richards was once again lost defensively, it's not a bash fest to state a fact. Again, Ziggy is far from anti-Richards, me and him have actually had many many arguments with him on the side of Richards.

Honestly the team needs to either put together a good strong streak of good play and wins or just suck for a stretch. All this treading water is bad because we won't see any changes so long as they're sniffing a playoff spot. Can always get a mulligan by citing injuries and illnesses. Sutter has been saying this isn't the same team, probably lobbying Lombardi a bit I hope.

I'm at the point where they either tank for McDavid, Eichel, Hanifin or they go out tonight and find the fattest nastiest slump busters and **** their brains out!

We will look back at this game and laugh after we finish repeating in June.

Hey clippers fan...stop with all this positive ****. Think real life and not hopes and dream world. I mean you should know since you're a clippers fan right? :sarcasm:

Well... At least this means if they are going to do it we are going to see them hockey some **** up pretty soon here... Otherwise they are going to miss the playoffs.

And I'll say it again, Scrivens is not a great goalie. The Kings should be familiar enough to light him up. ****ing do it.

Since we are calling out everyone....what the heck happened to Justin Williams?? He's been having a quiet season so far and unnoticeable most of the time

For years, the Kings would have a habit of having good O while D was bad. Then it reversed with good D and bad O. This year, they're all looking sorry-ass

Williams is amazing and infallible. You shut your ***** mouth.

(He's gotta be in one of those lines there, right? Pretty sure he is playing)
