Yeah that was ugly. We should have had 4-5 breakaways or glorious chances in the slot but flubb flubb flubbb. Not that we can do **** with breakaways anyway but still... and who the **** played last night anyway??? So frustrating.

I also like how NBC wasn't satisfied insulting us with "Eddie O", now they're just giving us the entire 'hawks broadcast.

What an atrocious display of passing by the Kings. Nobody could connect a clean pass to save their lives. I counted 4 chances where they had possible outnumbered attacks and missed on the passes. G

Same foul RR got called on, then there was Brown getting tripped on the pk, it was so obvious even the Hawks player dropped his stick and looked right at the ref. Nothing.

I'm afraid the long change will come to bite the Kings in the backside at least once this coming period -- but at least Muzzin's goal means that wouldn't be a total backbreaker. Probably. I hope.

Overrated or not, bottom line is one team played last night while the other was sitting on ass. Yes, the Blackhawks are pros, but they're also playing against pros. It matters.

They were especially awful. Not trip to the day spa awful like Minnesota, but CHI led LAK 21-11 in shot attempts (Corsi) at even strength in the first period, per @war_on_ice

The long changes in the second period and their failure to close games out in the third has me convinced this team plays with no consistent pattern. They always run hot and cold, from every player to special teams play.
