Who the f*** is Trevor Moore?
I think Lombardi felt he was overworked to the point of no return with LA and he had finally gotten over the career hill so he just chilled out.I wonder why no team ever gave Dean Lombardi another chance?

We may be in a rebuild, but we've won a playoff series more recently than you guys havequackquackquack! indeed!
haven't heard from you guys in almost a decade! Where you been my guy?? Missed you
i'm glad you slowly building your confidence back up
Also, he won two Cups, so there wasn't anything more to achieve than to just do it again, and the chances of that were slim, so why bother? I think that it's like how James Cameron didn't direct for over a decade after Titanic and, instead, did other things.I think Lombardi felt he was overworked to the point of no return with LA and he had finally gotten over the career hill so he just chilled out.

Yeah I guess he must just not want that job anymore because of all the retreads, he has the best resume, seems odd that no one would go for him.I think Lombardi felt he was overworked to the point of no return with LA and he had finally gotten over the career hill so he just chilled out.
I could add that the team we beat in that more recent win is t he team that's beat y'all 4 years runninghell yeah we're dick measuring failures
Dean never liked the non-hockey related stuff a GM has to deal with. That’s why he likes scouting cuz you just have to worry about hockey in that role.I wonder why no team ever gave Dean Lombardi another chance?

How can we ever recover from this burn
The role of GM has evolved as far as expectations, and Lombardi just doesn't want to do it.I wonder why no team ever gave Dean Lombardi another chance?
I'm not trying hard at all. Just going for the low hanging fruit."you've lost in the playoffs four times in a row while we've lost the draft lottery four times in a row haha owned"
come on man we both suck, you don't have to try so hard
Probably addressed in the thread already, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was like with Pittsburgh several years back where everyone though Bylsma was gone, but they fired Shero, and then the new GM immediately fired Bylsma.Where's the "Hiller fired" announcement?
Happy to see that the "Mayor"'s announcement that Blake & Hiller are staying was full of **** halfways at least. Waiting for the other shoe to drop!
I think when he had more energy and more importantly, spirit and the roster he built, he was ready to keep going. But I'm sure the two Cups after the fact gave a lot of people around him the excuse to, why bother, you're already the a 2 time etching. Also, he won two Cups, so there wasn't anything more to achieve than to just do it again, and the chances of that were slim, so why bother?
