Back to 500. hockey, where the regular season Kings belong. Look forward to Benn putting Five points on the Kings.

They keys to scoring as a king:

1) Have your number be in the 70s
2) Fall down as your shoot
3) Be Martinez

The Kings are just about beating records, they beat the record for most wins in a homestand, now they want to beat the one for most loses on a road trip.

Quick has been getting shelled, o well helps his career SV%. That stat everyone uses to marginlise him. Quick is sitting at what 935+. sv% right now ?

This would be the kind of unexpected game where the Kings would come out and get out of their funk, because everything looks so dark after the last few games. The Kings can't do anything right, so of course the Stars will light them up. Then it ends up a 5-2 Kings win or something.

Or, of course, it could be 6-1 Dallas, because you don't know when the Kings will show up. They're like the kid that never does any homework, but passes every major test.

If the Kings somehow lose this game, I see myself, internet nerd raging like Nemesis from Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.

I know Halloween's officially over for 2014, but still...

Kings having trouble breaking out of their zone against a fast/counter attack team with questionable defense on a losing streak...

They got this!

How many line combinations has Kopitar been in this year? I think I remember Brown, King, Williams, Gaborik, Richards? Anyone else?

If you're breaking the season down into the 6 points in each 5 game segment idea, so that you don't get caught up in the results of any individual game because there are 82 of them and you'll win some and lose some, then the Kings can still salvage this current stretch of games with wins in the next 3 games.

The defense (and that includes the forwards) is more of an issue than the lack of offense . Thru last night, the Kings have allowed 30 or more SOG in 9 games, that's way too many. And some of it is a ripple effect from Slava's situation with Muzzin coming back not 100%, but most of it is just mental breakdowns. Like on the goal last night on the PP when SToll and Lewis and the 2 D lined up in an I formation in front of quick, leaving the Canes forward all alone to score. Or not being able to clear the puck out or break it out cleanly (they miss Willie M. there, he was great at taking the pressure off with a strong pass).
They need to buckle down and play better, smarter in their own end and take the pressure off Quick.
And Sutter needs to quick playing musical chairs with the lines. Stability creates more fluid offense.
