Did you watch the Kopitar interview? He basically said they sucked but will take the two points. Quick won that game pure and simple. Only the Stoll line looked good out there. Pearson was also excellent. The pp was atrocious and they were lucky they didn't have to kill any penalties. That was the game I watched.

Hmm. I saw a fantastic breakout, good pressure and speed, and a good Boston team that can actually put up a fight. Not a great or perfect game by any means as you outline some of the big issues but a sure big freaking step in the right direction after crapping on the ice vs. Chicago. "lucky" to not have to kill any penalties because they didn't have a chance to draw any as most of the pressure was on the Bruins.

He had two assists, yes, but he did not have a good game. The guy has looked like he spent the 5 hours prior to the game dragging a dozen fat chicks up a sand dune in Santa's sleigh for the past month. So much so that I haven't started a thread here in probably 3 years and I was seriously considering starting one asking what the hell is wrong with Kopitar. He is not himself.

I guess we were not watching the same game. Kopi Pearson was clicking today

I didn't see the Kopitar interview as I was driving home from the game. The game I saw was a tired Boston team getting its last legs for half the third period but basically sucking **** the entire game save killing off the 5-on-3 in the first.

I am going to have to disagree with you. He handled the puck much better tonight than I have seen him in at least that past two weeks. He looked like the old Kopi to me.

Fun game to be at, except for the Bruins fan who wouldn't stop talking all game long. Felt like we should have been up 3-0 after the first.

Kings were solid tonight.

The only thing I didn't like was the second period. The Kings clearly took the foot off the gas in that second period.

Just got back. Good times and what a nailbiter at times. That save on Krug was unbelievable. I'm surprised it had no thread on the main boards. Not even a mention of it.

To be fair, Krug kind of shot that puck back into Quick.

Quick was beat, all Krug had to do was shoot that puck straight.

But how many times do we say this with a great Quick save? Oh he should have lifted it higher, shot it better, etc. Quick did get a piece of it. Pretty incredible. Everyone thought it was a goal.

Boston will be fine once they get guys healthy. Too man bad teams out East for Boston to miss the playoff's.

Quick got a piece of it, cause Krug shot it into him.

Krug literally had the whole left side of the net open. It was sort of bad luck/fluke.

Good for the Kings though.

Boston's gonna barely make the playoffs.

That may be true. It seems like it is a little too early to see any separation. I looked at the Western Conference standings the other day, and I think only 7 or 8 points separated #1 from #9.

I think if Boston gets Chara back, they can be a force to be reckoned with in the East.

I sure did from my vantage point. I was surprised that the light didn't go on. That was an amazing save, even if Krug did shoot it to the right of where he wanted it.

At least 7 out of 10 times that shot produces a goal. Krug thought he had Quick beat, so he just blasted it and wanted to make sure he hit the net. Bit of a tough shot with it being a cross body one-timer.

Exactly. And it was a crazy cross-body one timer from a bad angle. Anyone that's played will tell you that's a damn near impossible shot to take. Krug was just trying to get it into the giant empty net. He could have pulled it a little bit more left, and Quick's blocker was there. There were certainly holes closeer to his body and high, but my god what a shot it would have taken to beat Quick there.

''It's hard to criticize the effort of this hockey club, because we did really well,'' Boston coach Claude Julien said. ''But we're not getting any calls at all going our way, and it's frustrating to see the amount of time we could have had a power play. But they're choosing not to call them. Everybody has to be accountable in this league.''

Does Julien whine like this after every Bruin loss?
