I think the cushion is big enough for the Oilers not to f*** up a playoff spot... but they certainly will likely be the weakest looking playoff team in the West.

He has been fine.. tonight was his only subpar game. He does have 5 pts (not 6) as an Oiler and none of them is a goal.

Maybe the reason Bob is so confident saying that one of their signings will be direct to NHL is because whatever team signs him will have to promise an NHL slot as part of the deal. Could be the case with someone like David Tomasek? Probably a couple guys who there is a competition to sign that would not come across the pond just to play in the AHL.
