For one - I've been quite clear all year we needed a new goaltender.

For two - in Pickards defence, he played last night, and historically goaltenders are worse on the second of back to backs by about two standard deviations.

That said, frankly, when Pickard unravels he's brutal. After three quick goals you have to pull him.

No he did give up 4 to this same team with Ekholm healthy, but he did only see 32 shots the entire game, Pickard had seen 28 shots already and the game is not even done.
Pickard only gave up 5, one was offside

Skinner gave up 5 to Philly and 5 to the Pens as well.

This is probably the worst period we have played as a team team all season too. I’m not saying Pickard is playing well, but using this game to defend Skinner who has had 2 not shit games in the past 15 is WILD
