Ridiculous, honestly. There was zero intent and it was such a bang bang play. The 5 major was enough IMO.

There were plenty worse hits/infractions this season that got zero review from the league.
He knew exactly what he was doing. This is almost a textbook example of what the league is trying to remove from the game. I bet it's a two game suspension.
I think the intent was pretty obvious.
Agreed.

Agreed.
Were you at the game?

The TNT crew did, as someone else put it, a Zapruder film investigation on the hit and to a man they all agreed it was not intentional and doesn't deserve more from the league. Where his weight was on his skates, how his arm was tucked, his looking the other way, etc. Replays galore.

I thought it was intentional at first but after the 75 reverse angle slo mo replays and the discussion I now think it wasn't.

Was at the game, at first I thought it was intentional then realized he was going for the outlet pass. Cotter was not lining up to hit him. It was a collision where he saw Pelech late and Cotter prepared for the impact and unfortunately Pelech got hit in a bad spot.

It was indeed a 5 min major as the onus is always on players to avoid such instances. If its a suspension, it has to be only 1 game.

It felt like an exhibition game the rock. Zero emotion in the stands. No one was mad or happy. I think that sums it up pretty well lol. They are clearly just looking to the first round and getting through this stretch with no injuries or fatigue.

I think they will step it up a notch next week tho, in the B2B before the playoffs. Then we will see what happens in Raleigh.
Yeah. People were just there just because it was a Hockey game.

That's it.

thats a bs quote the fans that paid good money and wasted good time on a beautiful day should get their money back then. also only this team would think being at home this long is a bad thing i wonder why that is.
This is the equivalent of "load management" in the NBA. Nobody would pay for tickets if they knew they'd basically be paying at 50% effort.

I’d love to beat the holy hell out of the Bruins tomorrow night. I could see a similar result as to what happened to us last week, only on the other end. Which is kind of like what the January game was.

Unless they plan to rest some more people. I think they’ll do exactly that for the Detroit game on Wednesday.
