He's going to get PAID. And the contract is going to look real bad on the back half.
Also the front half. Guy had one great year in his entire career. 30 years old and only played three full seasons in 8 years. Not the guy you bet on to lock up for 7 years at big money. Especially if he's going to a team where he's not going to get top PP minutes.

Monty doesn't pretend to be a tough guy, and even if he trolled Marchand, that isn't his game at all, nor does he normally play like that.

Funny to see a Bs fan come away with that impression.

He steal your girl or something?

Bruins ? Ewww brotha.

I didn't even think of that series, or even from these playoffs. You just see him get in there and when there are officials between him and someone he's all gung ho to drop his gloves, but they seem cemented on when there's no one to protect him...

So who's the PMD of the future for the Panthers?
Forsling. He's better at actually moving the puck than Montour.

This is a confusion I notice people make all the time. To most people PMD = defenseman that gets a lot of points, likely mostly on the PP or some empty calorie offensive minutes.

A real PMD gets first touches on the puck on retrievals, and is able to turn it up ice or to a teammate that puts them in a position to get a clean exit. Montour does not do this. He gets eaten up on retrievals. Once someone else does the hard work of breaking out, he'll join the rush for a scoring chance.
