Feel free to ignore old-timer. No place in sports for humility or feelings.
One of the best deals. Same with Brzustewicz. Great deal. If they can get their hands on Edgar from Niagara that would also be awesome!]
Heckuva player. Posted I loved that deal from the moment I saw it.
I agree. Boulton could do something offensively if he uses his skating ability. I think Abo does some damage up front as well. Could be a physical team with those two up front and hopefully Sam O’Reilly! What we need is a pest like Landon Sim/Max McCue. Those kind of guys are KEY to winning.I'm with Nelli I'm going to enjoy what these young men accomplished for a bit before doing to much looking ahead. This was a great core group of young men we were blessed to watch over the last 3-4 years..
Thanks for the memories fellas!
OK for the look aheaders here are my two hot takes:
I 100% have Aboflan on my team as one of the OAs next year and Ryder Boulton is going to score 15 goals next year..
Did you forget Noah Read? For sure returning:
F: Nicholl, Van Gorp, Van Bommel, Boulton, Aboflan (OA), Hawery
D: Brzustewicz, Woolley, Fimis, Fagen, Spencer
G: Medvedev
If they these 3 return we are contenders: O’Reilly, Dickinson, Allen (OA)
1-2 open OA slots
3 open import slots
Signed players I’m excited to see: Cover, Cook and Mitchell
Who’s an unsigned American that would be able to sign ? Ride that MemCup wave
SHOOOOOT NOAH READ is a top 6 forward for sure! I bet he gets picked later in the NHL draft as well!Did you forget Noah Read?
Other probabilities as well are;
F - Eddie Hickson, Jaxon Cover, Brody Cook, Brendon Gerber
D- Kaleb Mitchell
Not returnees but adding
3 - Imports and Alex Campeau for sure, plus 1 or 2 more 16 year old 2025 draft picks
I think the Knights will be fine, might be rough at the start, come mid-season they should have a pretty good idea what Dale's team system is all about.
Dale will have them ready for the playoffs. it’ll be an interesting start to the year for sure. Lots of open jobsDid you forget Noah Read?

If that happens it'll be because no other team made him an offerLEAF
Why hasnt Mark made a trade yet?????Dale will have them ready for the playoffs. it’ll be an interesting start to the year for sure. Lots of open jobs
I get one too every time we win a Ohl or memorial cup. Got mine today and Iam not at all impressed with the LFP front page . Hey Free Press Editor! Just so you know these kids laid it out on the line for our city and it should have been the top storey!! Yet you decide to put a storey about death and the trial of hockey players accused of sexual abuse above . Big screw up imo You should be promoting London ! Especially when great things like this happen in our city . We have all had enough of the sad depressing things we don’t always need to see plasterd on the front page !! I would rather turn to page 2 for that.It will in Tuesday. No Monday paper
I call them like I see them. And I still stand by my assessments. JJ13 turned it on during the playoffs and Mem Cup but looked mostly disinterested for long stretches during the regular season. Nurmi was hit and miss but came up big at times. Good season but definitely not the offensive weapon many were expecting but great defensively. WN73 was not worth the playing time after he came back from injury. All flash, no sizzle. I was most disappointed in his play. Just couldn't capitalize on any of his scoring opportunities. The long schedule caught up with Monty as well. Had a great mid-season but really tailed off during the playoffs and MC. Had his moments but disappointed in his play after such a great start. Sim was Sim. A leader that sometimes took boneheaded penalties (nowhere near last year though). Wooley was great most of the season but something was off during the playoffs and MC. The youngins played well when given the opportunity (Read, VanBommel, Hawery and VanGorp to a lesser extent). Spencer needs a great deal of seasoning and needs to play more physical. Elliott and Medsy were really good. Elliott really turned it on for the playoffs and MC. Boulton was Boulton. Fagan... Too small a sample size.Back atcha, feel free to ignore lol. Actually there is a place for humility in sports (history shows us such), but have at it youngin lol. You submit your CV to the Hunters yet? I'm sure they'd be impressed with your takes on here.
Not sure where the feelings part you reference came from but add whatever you think will help lol. (I'd explain why it shows a weakness in your defense but not worth my time, same as the old timer comment)
Enjoy the Memorial Cup win, OHL PO title and reg season 1st place finish, and 3 consecutive OHL finals, 2 championships and wonder how much better they coulda been following your thoughts on players/team construction.
That's got nothing to do with the Editor. Local media has been getting over the years. Print, TV, and radio is brutal thanks to their ownersI get one too every time we win a Ohl or memorial cup. This is a great assessment. I think overall it is a very long season when you include mem cup, playoff and reg season. I think the boys all had good stretches and the big guys showed up when it mattered most and that’s what got us over the finish line. Now a lot of the secondary guys are going into primary roles so they need to be ready for that.I call them like I see them. And I still stand by my assessments. Allen played ok. After his incident he just wasn't the same PPG player.
Fimis was decent but soft on the puck.
Dicky, Bonk, Bruiser, Cowan, Haltsy, Barkey, O'Reilly....all fantastic.
15 goals, 15 assists and <guess the number> PIMI'm with Nelli I'm going to enjoy what these young men accomplished for a bit before doing to much looking ahead. This was a great core group of young men we were blessed to watch over the last 3-4 years..

Personally I don't agree. The assessment is made through the lens of what KW wishes the team to be or the style of play he would prefer. This is Dale and Mark's team and clearly they set out roles for certain players to play as part of that team. For example OB's point total went down this year but his play defensively improved a lot. Who was on the ice for much of the third in the MC final besides the core group? WM73, JN44, JJ13, EVG14. Obvious that Dale trusted them to do the job he wanted them to. Could we have had better face off men, more 20 goal scorers, better PP and PK % ? Of course, but we won the league, the J Robertson and the Memorial Cup ffs!! What else could we have won with this team. This is a great assessment. I think overall it is a very long season when you include mem cup, playoff and reg season. Absolutely true. Some guys need to step up next season.,This is a great assessment. I think overall it is a very long season when you include mem cup, playoff and reg season.
