Barkey The Beast! He’s looking amazing over the last 1-2 months!! Great game to watch, Spencer had his best game by a mile. Love the next man up mentality by the D! Our goalies at times look human lately they were bound for a “cold streak” and by cold streak I mean they’d probably like to have 1 goal a game back which shows how spoiled with are with our tendys this year. Some amazing shifts by Cowan who looked like the “old Cowan” just out working everyone on the ice which made for a beautiful setup on the PK goal!

I love the lines. Looks like some chemistry is finally forming with the lines.

I really hope Landon Sim gets signed to an NHL contract. Never thought I would say this, but not sure where this team would be without Sim.

I hope he really has turned the corner (especially come playoffs). Hope he knows he is more valuable to the Knights as an offensive threat and not a goon.

Yeah I really liked Spencer’s game
Some hits , good defense, even stole a puck for a breakaway

The line combinations tonight (forwards and defence) should be the ones used for the rest of the year. Balanced scoring and strong defensive play (mostly). The last two games were very impressive and there was only a bit of letdown due to the games basically being over early. The goaltending just needs to sharpen up a bit and stop giving up a soft goal every game.

Don't disagree with the line combos but I think it'll change a time or 2 just before or during POs, with a focus on a shutdown line.
Sim, Nurmi, JJ or whatever they go with. Just a guess based on the past.
But I really like the flexibility up front to flip flop 10 Fs anywhere on the top 3 lines and u justify any one of the options.

On another note, the latest/greatest automated concession made it's debut last night, as work began on a 2nd one. Also making an initial appearance was an $18.00 King Can ( twice the size of the cans normally sold ) My main critique, other than the price increase, was the increased volume. I don't know about others, but my primary motive for attendance is to see the actual game. Not to be interrupted, by folks buying beer cans 3x the size of their bladders, and having to go pee, between intermissions..
I do enjoy the occasional beer, but getting an overpriced one at the arena, isn't at the top of my list, and consuming a couple of those King Cans, would probably put me over the limit, were I to attempt driving home from the game :huh:

Cool to see the new concession but IMO the self scan is going to be a disaster. Ask any grocery store owner how much theft occurs at those. Not sure that having one person watching 3 self scan tills is going to alleviate that problem.

Not to mention the problem of "over service". Where alcohol is served, there is legal onus on the establishment to prevent this issue. How does one fulfill this obligation at automated kiosks ? Bartenders normally are responsible for this task, but automation removes those bartenders from direct involvement.
There was an allegation of this being a contributing cause of the Woodman Street explosion, some years back, and the defendant in that case made the allegation that she'd been over served during a concert at the same venue. DUI is a serious issue, and this method of merchandizing risks the possibility of over service.

I am not sold on the line combo's personally. Having Cowan and center is a mistake IMO, not too sure he has won a draw yet and seems to skip the zone far too early for a centreman who should be the last forward up the ice. I like him on he wing better and playing on a different line than Barkey, they are just too similar of player for me to have on one line. It also seemed best when Barkey-Montgomery played together as well they fed of each other. I have also found that Haltunnen and O'Reilly seem to really click as well.

Barkey-Nicholl-Montgomery
Cowan-O'Reilly-Haltunnen
Nurmi-Julien-Sim
Aboflan/Read/Boulton-Van Gorp-Vanbommell

Also agree with you folks, I love what I saw from Spencer last night. I feel the "potential" is there but he just lacks in footspeed and always seems to be a step or two behind. You can tell he thinks the game quite well, but when he does get the puck he never has any time to make the play he wants because everyone is so much faster. Last night is looked a touch quicker than normal!

Yeah I think his twenty whatever goals has him playing a different game now, and not gooning it up. Hes this years Max McCue…scoring, fighting, hitting, and hopefully will end up the same way personally which is either a contract. He even walks away from some skirmishes knowing his value isn’t in the box. On a team of stars, he’s been the mvp to me.

Some talk last week regarding Caleb Mitchell.

London blue-line prospect Caleb Mitchell has missed time with the London Nationals after taking a recent hit and is listed as week-to-week

Wouldn't want to play flint or owen sound in the first round. Seems to struggle to score against those teams
13 goals in 3 games vs. Flint going into today.

19 goals in 5 games vs Owen Sound this season

Both are higher rates of goals against than either team is giving up as a whole this season.

That 3rd period was like knight and Day.
Knights win inching closer to the magic number.
Knights currently hold the best HOME record in the OHL 23-4, [23 wins in 27 home games, check the winning percentage] and the BEST road record 20-4-1. Best team in the CHL.
Ariel, we're cruising little buddy.. Enjoy the ride says your physician of the soul. This team is fun to watch!
Day played well for 2 periods; but it's a 60 minute game.
Shots were in London's favour,
Barkey is our best player for creating/generating offence whether it's at even strength, SH or on the PP.
Barkey set Knights SH goal record: #12 (and counting).
