London Knights 2024-25 Season Thread, Part V

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. The admin team will continue to work on existing issues, templates and upgrade all necessary available addons to minimize impact of this new version. Click Here for Updates
Brampton, Erie and Kitchener for a 3 in 3. All tough teams. It’ll be a good test for the Knights
 
Solid game yesterday! Both goalies played great - that was one of my fav performances from Elliot thus far, he was locked in! He made some great saves because of his quick feet and lateral movements, also thought his rebound control was near perfect + puck handling was real solid. The puck handling aspect is a big big help without Allan in the lineup, and especially with some of our bottom D lacking in foot speed. Look for both goalies to start playing the puck more.

Why is Aboflan not getting any games currently? He hasn’t played since Feb 2nd. Is he hurt?

Both guys have honestly stepped up! Very impressed that they have taken this opportunity seriously and they are making the most of it. Good news for next years D

I feel they can rotate him with Boulton and Read. Not sure what happened to that?

It seems the 4th line is a group of these

Boulton (grit)
Read(skill)
Van Gorp(skill-lock and belongs on a higher line)
Van Bommel (Grit - pesky and fast probably shouldn’t come out of the lineup)
Aboflan (grit)

Come the playoffs Hawery should get mixed in

Last update was he was in Toronto. Don't think he is participating in any team activities. Will be interesting to hear what the court says. If he is found guilty, he won't be back. But like someone else said, it could be a year with legal issues
 
I imagine he’ll be back. Half of the charges will be dropped. They will do a plea bargain deal I assume. The kid made a dumb mistake. The good thing is nobody was seriously hurt and others should learn from it. I believe he should get a second chance. People especially young adults do stupid stuff

I think the decision on the Cam Allen situation should be based on what could have happened. He should not be banned from playing hockey for life but a message has to be sent to JUNIOR hockey players. Let him move on to his pro career and send the message to young players that this dangerous behaviour cannot be tolerated. The Knights will be alright without him.

If the league based its suspensions on what could have happened there would be nobody playing because everyone would be suspended for 20+ games
