Saginaw does still have quite a team and I think they underachieved to start the season. As some have mentioned above there offence is dangerous but they lost too much defence from last year to make a long run I think.

Misa, Epperson, WIllis, Mangone, Chernyshov, Zhilkin....there top 6 is a very dangerous group. Fortunetly for us there defence consists of Parekh and and a whole bunch more of nothing else. Not to mention below average goaltending especially for an OA.

Luckily they play Erie round 1 most likely, so our round 2 opponent will most likely be coming off a long physcial series!

Willis is gone, traded at the deadline. But the point still stands.

News to me Chernyshov came over and was playing in Saginaw. Missed that one.
Just stat checking, but looks like the kid is barnstorming the league. Those numbers are wild.

Nice performance last night. Hawery looks the part. Haltunnen finding the open ice and letting it rip. Both his goals came out as fast as they went in… could barely tell what happened.

The events of the past week should open some eyes and keep the team on the straight and narrow going forward.

Pardon my post, as I’m not a proponent of drunk driving (that needs to be said apparently on this forum, for people to understand), but has there been any indication that Allen will return this year from the org or anyone else? Or is it generally accepted that his season is done?

We're in a "wait and see" and now we've moved on to discuss other things like...

tonight's game.
Meds starts.
No Hawery (sigh).
Soo debut new goalie.

The line combinations tonight (forwards and defence) should be the ones used for the rest of the year. Balanced scoring and strong defensive play (mostly). The last two games were very impressive and there was only a bit of letdown due to the games basically being over early. The goaltending just needs to sharpen up a bit and stop giving up a soft goal every game.
