He got a suspended sentence because Dan Snyders family insisted. He was very fortunate he was forgiven. Both families are Mennonite.
Appreciate that and I remember the Snyder family supporting Heatly. But in retrospect he got away basically scott free when you consider the results of his actions? I also appreciate Dan Snyder chose to get into the car that night and sadly he has to be held accountable for that decision and in his case paid the ultimate price. It was a horrific story no matter which side you are on or how you looked at it! RIP young man.

That's possible. I'm a little sensitive to the subject as I was hit by a drunk driver 12 years ago. Young male also. Luckily I had superficial injuries and whiplash for about a week but it still makes me angry to think about. All the what ifs that pop into your head due to one person's selfless act.
I agree we still are in a very good position heading down the stretch. But I must admit I would have expected and somewhat been happier to see the Knights firing on all cylinders instead of what appears to be a team still “coming together”. Coming out of the West is not a slam dunk like it appeared earlier on and home ice throughout our playoff run will be important. Kitchener, Windsor and I feel like Saginaw are all highly worthy opponents. Fingers crossed we should be fine but establishing a more consistent lineup and resting a few of our big guns down the stretch would be nice!
So far lineup looks good I would have thought there would be some scratches due to curfew violations.
Nice touch by Mark and Dale to insert Hawery into the lineup tonight. Better than a point a game pace in St. Thomas, playing on a very poor team.
As someone who worked as a paramedic and funeral director for 50 years I've seen what drunk driving does up close and personal. Some of these people are are reoffenders because they are let off too easy. Maybe not sweeping it under rug but the oh well attitude. Maybe if some of these people on here think he should get off lightly should live in my memories for awhile . Makes my blood boil
Again... people are answering the "ban him from hockey for life" folks, citing examples of where that didn't happen.
