London Knights 2024-25 Season Thread, Part IV

Agreed. But at 6’5 202 Kennedy will fit right in with the Spits. Biggest team in the league and it isn’t close.

No idea on the player myself but is he even close to Allen in skill set? ( I'm just going by what I read and 1 ohl scouts take I asked),
I'll take 6 ft 200lbs superior skill, over 6.5 200lbs every day times10. Kennedy is longer but is he bigger, does he play bigger? I dont know. But I would wager I'd rather MH have paid thst price for Allen than chasing it close to the deadline and paying what WS,did for Kennedy.
Yes Windsor is a big, long team and length can be used effectively but I'll take LKs grit over WS. Spits are a very offensive squad thou and when on their game the F length causes problems when they are attacking in the O zone. Good team.

Except you only have Allen for 1/2 a season. You paid a lot more for 1/3 of what Kennedy will be around for.

Leave out the 2nd ya pay for the next season and I still like the value LK got for the addition. JMO and 2 teams in differing stages apparently, based on additions so i get it.
If Kennedy plays a top 2 effective role next year it's a solid deal. If he is a mid pair ya could got that type player pre season as an oa for less than 2 2nds/3rd/4th and/or kept Manzo. Cause I'm not sure he moves the needle this year ( but I've been wrong before lots lol)

Oh agreed. I wasn’t insinuating it was a comparable acquisition to Allen. Just that he seems to fit the Windsor mould. Nothing more.

An excellent team as is. The addition of Allen is all that is (was) needed. The depth during the WJC showed the character of this version of the Knights and management rewarding the team with their confidence in “what we have” will bond the team. All the loading up in the east will only be one team faced in the final and that team may be quite beaten up. Less is sometimes more and hopefully this trade deadline for the Knights proves that sentiment.

Peterborough beats Barrie this evening? Wow.
Make no mistake, even with all the trades, Knights are the favourite for the OHL championship. (If it sounds cocky, then that’s a you problem). 😉
There's a BIG difference between winning one game and winning a 7 game series.

If you don't know about the player, why comment on the cost to acquire him?
