Maybe he should sit out next game. Put martone in the lineup instead, but Dave Cameron won't change anything cause he's stubborn. Won't be suprised if canada didn't medal again this year. Will next year be better? Who knows
Pinelli will be put first line. He will keep ritchie with Cowan, mckenna will be 13th forward. Oh and Davey boy will get dementia and put bonk back as the powerplay QB.

Dave Cameron at his finest.

You call Cameron stubborn ...I call him old and not doing proper research. He's not stubborn. If he was Dickinson would not be getting the icetime he ls getting. Problem is Cameron has no clue. He's playing Bonk with Dickinson on 5 on 5 and that did not work the first part of the season in London as they are both a little slow footed. They were split up in London for a reason. He's simply going by stats/numbers and not looking at the actual players and who they were paired up with. Cowans cough up at the end still shows how he needs to work on that part of his game.

Cameron certainly hasn't shown well coaching this team .

Total lack of discipline and no accountability.

His best before date is expired .

Cowan getting a lot of hate because he served up a pizza on an empty net goal … that wasn’t what cost them the game, they lost the game way before that. I didn’t see one guy who had a good game, the entire team lost. Canada is losing as a team, their entire team effort doesn’t look good.

Ignore the trolls in here looking to get attention.

No ones trolling people are just pointing out he hasn't been good. Grow some thicker skin bud. Trolling would be if he was playing good and people said he wasnt... which isnt whats happening here... youre just touchy.
Go talk about it on the main thread for the game.

We've all watched an entire team struggle to get goals and Cowan isn't why they lost.

Why do people put so much stock into a two week tournament? Do people not understand how meaningless this is when evaluating players? People were ready to anoint Jonathan Huberdeau a bust years ago because of an average couple games lmao.

If people actually watched the game without their London hate on, they’d see Cowan generated some chances in the first two periods. But I can’t argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with their experience.

To me the bigger issue with Cowan was that boarding penalty. No matter who the player is, that hit absolutely cannot be made in a one goal game. Especially when it's a returning player, it's a valid point of criticism.

They took 8 penalties. Unfortunately Cowan took one when they got scored on but the whole team was giving US chance after chance.

Agreed. Foot speed not good with these 2. Chip it by Dickinson and he has to hold... been caught twice but should have been 3x. Why Allen was such a good pickup for the Knights, fleet of foot and makes the right decisions. I had said the way to beat the Knights was to pressure their D down low at every opportunity. This is now much more difficult to do.

Cowan with a game to forget. That giveaway was HORRIBLE but not what sunk Canada tonight.

There were plenty of other penalties taken prior to that by other players...

This cannot be blamed on Cowan what so ever. That's absolutely INSANE to think that.
not even a bit ? He's suppose to be the guy for Canada and has mostly been invisible this tourney. USA's big dogs showed up... im not saying its all on him but surely you agree he needs to be much better if this team stands a chance?

Cause Martone was such a force early in the tourney?
And coach did adjust, he put 16 into the lineup and that worked out so well lol.

27 with a bad penalty for sure but lots went wrong before that.

They lost, lots of bad plays, plenty of blame to be shared as a team and staff. I just don't get the need to single out 1 when there was so many.

There were plenty of other penalties taken prior to that by other players...

Oh for sure, dumb play. But there was 7 other penalties throughout that didn’t help either. I don’t see much being said about Rehkopf absurdly stupid penalty, that you learn is a penalty in your first year of hockey. it’s just not being talked about because it didn’t happen late in the game, but they all hurt and all lead to the eventual outcome.

My main point, tonight’s game isn’t on one guy, no one had a good game and they need to figure things out in a hurry if they want to turn this around.

Look at the rap sheet of penalties....many other guys there. Now watch USAs pp....their control and ability to gain the lanes and have great scoring opportunities compared to Canada is the difference....glad we have George.

I 100% agree - Rehkopf flinging the stick away and Pinelli skating up to and punching someone were equally if not more stupid than Cowan's.

I think the timing of Cowan's is what made it hurt more than the others - 8 mins left in a one goal game.

Cowan was the leading scorer coming into tonight with only 3 points. I'd say the whole team needs to start showing up scoring wise.

McKenna has been Canada's best player all tournament, and he just turned 17. That's a problem when your youngest is the leader on the ice.

I agree. And not only that penalty though- but also the turnover at the end doesn’t help his case at all.

Pinellis penalty with 3 mins remaining infinitely worse than cowans penalty though imo

Who else in your opinion is a Canada big dawg that needs to show up? (Goalie did, but got beat on some great snipes tonight)
You pluralized the USA big dogs but only singled out 1 for Canada?

Yes I agree he probly knows best he can be better as do the others on the team n staff

So because they scored on his penalty it's his fault?? That's ridiculous. There were plenty of other dumb penalties where George bailed us out. It's ridiculous to say its Cowans fault as its simple math....if you take stupid penalties its going to bite you in the arse.
