London, Ontario
London 6 Erie 1 Final
Cam Allen with an impressive debut. Welcome to London!
Hawery - Julien....some good chemistry there. Hawery with a few nice feeds to 13.
Slow start for Barkey, but he made up for it in the 3rd with that beauty pass/assist to Montgomery. Barkey, PHILLY pick, he prefers SE Pennsylvania.
London Fimis: 1 point
Erie Fimis: 0 point
Adonis is their favourite son.
Medvedev sharp (again)
Oh, those Erie fans...drown your sorrows in a nice cold glass of Brawndo.

Gotta love the W! Erie is a solid team. Nice to beat them.

Excited to see our full lineup. Allen is fantastic. Amazing pickup

Thanks nelli27, I mean, I am watching, it’s just painful.
I’ll take my glasses off and give it a try.
Is worse then the old Soo production. You would think that watch.chl.tv would have some sort of “minimal standards, or best practices” for this product.

Maybe those Erie helmets are cause in the low latency issues.

Go LK
Yeah those chrome helmets are a little over the top lol

I watched 80% of the game. But I missed the Erie fans do there class less London sucks thing , I’ve seen them in games etc wearing shirts saying that and with homemade signs , remember there mascot dumping popcorn all over knights fan that made the trip a while back but tonight I didn’t see too much of that
Even the commentator guys seemed to see 2 teams on the ice tonight
They showed a guy with a London Sucks sign early in the first, but nothing after that... the Knights broke them.. they didn't even play the song.

Edit: This could be why the song wasn't played. If that's the case, big respect to the Otters. First Logan, now this.

I know no additions are needed at all, but Sam McCue would look good in Green and Gold. Kid is a gamer and a physical pest

Sad news about Carol. I remember standing with her and Tom at some of the road games when Rick played. Classy lady Rest in Peace.

Tonight’s win shows the depth of the team and the amazing quality of the coaching staff. No more additions are needed if it means a player subtraction
They played Erie tonight….not a team ranked in the top 10 in the CHL. Ah how last year is a faint memory for some. It isn’t for the Hunters. Go all in on this year, even if it means sacrificing “an amazing playmaker” like Hawery.
And sorry but Julien’s inconsistent play is not good enough for an OA, but he likely isn’t going anywhere, so pushing him down the depth chart to another line would be lovely by acquiring another top tier 19 year old.
I said it before and I’ll say it again, would you rather be really good every year or have a down year or two because you went all in and it got you a memorial cup? If it’s the first option, then the Hunters have spoiled you as a Knights fan wayyyyy too much.
Memorial Cup or bust, anything less will be a failure. It won’t be said, but I promise you the Hunters and players alike will feel this way.

In London you can have both though. Last two years the team did not go all in and still went to the OHL CS and won another. This year, it looks more all in as this is a true contending year. Next year should be a sell year but still shoot for 35-40 wins. Not bad for a down year.

You know we don't need him yet you post this anyway.

I'm starting to think you are trying to achieve of a goal of X number of posts in a year.

Yes.. it was Erie.. it was also without the top four players on the team. "Memorial Cup or bust" sounds more like a spoiled Knights fan than someone who recognizes the Knights have the horses to win now without mortgaging the future.

Knights are on pace for at least 55 wins. That is 29-7 the rest of the way, that is .813%

Since November 1st they are .888%, if maintained they end up 32-4 and 58 wins.

I think there were some posters on here calling me insane a few months ago…. Watcha thinking now?????

You were not called out for your prediction of the Knights record this season. To my knowledge you never made such a prediction. You were called out for saying this team was better than the 2004/05 team. They still are not anywhere close to that team and won't be unless they give up 37 goals or less in their remaining 36 games.

They are also slightly off pace for the 310 goals the 04/05 team got.

Still waiting for your player by player comparison

Work has been busy, but I will try to get to that. I did make a prediction on wins at 56 but I can’t find my post so feel free to fact check me.

This team should be in the conversation of greatest teams ever…. I know still hockey to be played yadda yadda yadda.

One of the greatest Knights teams ever? Sure, currently looks like a top 3. But they are on pace to give up almost a full goal per game more than 04/05. I don't think you remember how amazing that team was.

53 wins (106 total points) is approximately what’s needed to be #1 overall heading into the playoffs. 27-9 is seemingly what’s needed. Which is still a .750% if the Knights keep up pace they should have the top seed. Hope they do and ultimately I hope they are well prepared for the playoffs and playoff style hockey.

Regarding playoffs do we have enough big heavy forwards?

04-05 team was absolutely incredible. Hard to compare to as it feels like the team and chemistry was off the charts. The high end skill guys were there, but not as many as currently. I feel like more guys from this years team get a shot at playing in the NHL in some capacity. Is anyone Perry level? Probably not. Arguably best Knight ever.

I guess what I’m trying to say is 24-25 isn’t quite the same as 04-05. I think that level of dominance is very hard to replicate
