With some omissions such as:

Colby Barlow
Beckett Sennecke
Michael Misa
Michael Hage
Nick Lardis

This almost guarantees that Barkey will make Team Canada. Count on all 4 Knights players being gone for December.

Questions about the WJC guys. Are they all gone now?

Or can they play the next two games?

Yeah that’s an interesting one for sure. Misa deserves to be at camp.
He is only 17 and this is primarily a 19 year old tournament. I get that, but from my perspective, you bring him to camp with thoughts of at minimum giving him experience for next year and who knows, maybe he blows the wheels off the camp and makes the team.

From what I am reading, they should play this week and then leave for camp, which looks to start Monday. They have games scheduled against U-Sports Dec. 12th/13th. Benefit this year, they are in Ontario, so don't need as much travel time.

Possibly 4 Knights on Team Canada! I don't know if it's ever had that many represented from one team.
I was looking at 2005 d-men on teams that will likely not go for it this year, and Finn Harding stood out as a possible trade target. My first choice would be Gibson, but he'd come with a heftier price tag. Cam Allen?

Agreed, me and @nelli27 are on the same page. Love Andrew Gibson’s defensive game is amongst the best in the OHL. Cam Allen’s offensive prowess is great and he has elite skating, I think is more of a two way guy. Reminds me a bit of Isaiah George (more offensive, but less defensively sound). Didn’t know Finn Harding could be on the market with Brampton competing but that would be a cheaper add.

But Nelli27 has my first two options in Gibson and Allen. Almost assuredly need a right handed defenseman. No offense to Brz, but pushing him to a third pairing would be an awesome and a luxury. Sometimes impressed with his defensive play like taking the man out of the play, but then drop passes behind his net right to the 67’s player and they score only makes me want a steadier defensive guy in his spot in the Top 4 more.

But hey kid, light it up while you got top 4 minutes Brz! Make them scouts notice ya!

There could very well be other good options out there that I'm simply unaware of...hoping others might be able to chime in here.

WJC should be:

Canada.
Cowan
Bonk
Dickinson
Barkey

Suomi:
Halttunen
Nurmi

Which leaves:
Van Gorp O’Reilly Sim
Montgomery Nichol Julien
Van Bommel Read Hawery
Boulton/Bidgood

Woolley Brzustewicz
Jenken Fagan
Spencer Mitchell

Medvedev Elliot

That roster should keep winning, they have played the majority of the last three games just fine.
Aboflan aswell

I believe team Canada had 4 IceDogs when they collapsed in Buffalo…

On the topic of defencemen, I think Sam might be the best defenceman I’ve seen in the green and gold since John Carlson. I am not calling him John Carlson - we can’t predict the future. But at the CHL level, his dominance of the game is comparable to JC, imo. We are truly fortunate to have opportunities to watch so many talented players - past and present.

Yes and Bouchard (offensively). Current MVP

I feel like Seattle may have had 5 a couple of years ago.
Edit - looks like they had 4 at the time of the tournament, but traded for Dach and Guenther after the tourney. Giving them 6 total after the fact. Hard to believe they didn't win the Memorial Cup.

The 4 guys should all hopefully have a great camp and get selected

The absence of Knights players headed to the WJT camp can be a blessing in disguise It'll positively or negatively reveal the strength of their depth players, and show just which ones are intent on stepping up to cover for the players doing duty at the WJT. Those who show that inclination, will establish themselves as "keepers" when decisions are made as to who becomes trade bait, and who s gives management & coaches a glimpse of the future potential of the team, and who they can build around in 2 to 3 years forward.

There have been past seasons where the supporting players didn't or couldn't carry the team and the result was a slide in the standings. This season, I don't see that occurring, but I've been wrong before. The secondary scoring is strong enough to still get wins, while the team is missing it's top players.

If there is another team in the league that can potentially lose 4 of their top players for a month and still put up points, I'd certainly be willing to be educated as to which team(s) that might be.

4/5 would’ve been gunning for the top 2 lines in a scoring role. Barkey is in a checking/defensive role in the bottom 6. Not a fair comparison and definitely not something that should be guaranteed.

TSN prognosticators have all 4 Knights making the team (at this point in time)
