This change shouldn’t effect those top elite players, they can go right from USNTDP to NCAA, they will sign and play pro usually in their 19 year making this rule change irrelevant.

USNTDP trumps OHL/USHL/BCHL and any other league in the world for 16/17 year olds then it’s OHL, then AHL/NCAA for plus 19 players.

While NTDP has always attracted top US talent traditionally it will be interesting to see if that holds true. The ushl is expected to take a major hit and that's where the NTDP primarily plays so players might have second thoughts considering they now have the CHL option while keeping their ncaa eligibility

The knights should strike an affiliate agreement with Michigan or BU, give us your 16/17 year old commits and they can be recruited to those affiliated schools at 19/20.

Bring their recruiters into the building and perfect that handoff process.

Think they could make one of these arrangements quick with Boston College? I heard they have a Knights drafted player, who is pretty good. Maybe lend him to London for the season, then back to Boston next year! hahaha

Only because they don't have the Knights experience, but they will sure be going to push London, Kitchener will keep the Knights on their toes all season, if London want first place finish, thought

The playoffs, put it all together with gruelling physicality.

Kitchener does not have anything close to what it takes after December, they will be destroyed by older skilled players on mediocre teams.

Yes I have, and continue to watch them, I have watched 7 Kitchener games thus far this season, how many have you watched? They are legit, are following a team system, different to Dale's system, but they have one to follow nevertheless, is it the right one, that remain to be determinate yet. It would be a grave mistake for London not to respect this Kitchener's team this season. The Rangers are a young team, that is why they are not as close as London, as you are suggesting in your post, they are getting better as they are picking up experience as the season progress

I don't disagree with most of what you've said. This is still a sell season for Kitchener, IMHO.

Having said that, I'm pretty happy w our 4th line and physical play, there's not going be any lack of physicality from the Rangers this year. Tempering that w picking the right spots is the challenge, esp for a younger team.

I'm really happy w the NCAA changes and the higher end talent that we have the OHL rights to. So the window for us is still later on in 1-2 years.

Looking fwd to playing some games coming up w Oshawa, Niagara, and London. If I had to pick one team from the OHL to go on right now, I'd say London.

I also think London will pull ahead this season with the depth and experience they have. Windsor and Kitchener will rule the West the next few seasons, and of course there will be others. Erie comes to mind. Always like to see Owen Sound do well.
Who knows though, the Knights have to do their part and start playing the way they can. Montgomery and Haltunnen if they come will be huge additions. Just leaves a stud dman to be acquired.

I think Logan Hawery may turn out to be between Cedric Guidon and Denver Barkey, still too soon yet. I am pleasantly surprised of Caleb Mitchell speed of execution at this young age, still slightly clumsy on some of his skating moves, but his hockey sense makes it up for him, who does he remind me of, I couldn't tell you, Henry Mews comes to mind for me, perhaps
