47 Montgomery looks like he will be fine in this league. Needs to put on some weight for sure.
This is the first game Elliott has looked shaky. I’m surprised he started the 2nd period but he’s bounced back nicely. Could have had a couple of those goals but it is what it is.
Nobody on Guelph is worth trading for given what the prices will be. I’d take Luchanko but he’s nowhere near tops on the list of what we need.
Yeah, I think Montgomery is used to carrying the puck with speed and blowing past the defenders. Not as easy here imo. He’ll adjust.

8-7 win. A bit of a rough game from Elliott but the defence overall was not great in front of him. That 3rd line was relentless tonight - heck of a game from Nichol, VG, and Read. The top line has really struggled to bury chances so far this season. Barkey has either been robbed or hit a post in every game so far it seems. Really impressed with Brz lately! With the emergence of Read and the Montgomery addition, we have too many forwards!

I feel like Read put himself ahead of Bidgood on the depth chart today.

Good problem to have!

Depth showing up. Ya get these games a few times a year. Coachable moments.....maybe.
47 in a tough with probly no practice time. But was getting ice late in the game. Interested to see what he looks like post January after the adjustment.
Is that 9 in a row?
7 with another late point to extend the streak or did I hear wrong? Watching with the inlaw pops, trying to explain the game in soccer terms lol.
As stated earlier. Coaches nightmare, kept fans on the edge. It's Jr hockey n this happens when both teams have multi breakdowns. Bank the points.
I'd expect an unloading of a F for picks in about 2-4 weeks. Too many OHL calibre kids going to be sitting

Sims suspension is still labeled indefinitely so he must've said something bad/ something refs didn't like

They got a book on certain words, sayings, references, slangs.
Is what it is and we'll know soon enough. Still think he can help this squad with what he can bring.

How many games does Monty need to get settled?
I'd don't care as a fan as long as it's by end of Feb.
Evaluating a player I'd say end of Feb.
So he would have a month plus to settle in before Christmas break with systems n practice reps than another month plus to get up to speed with the post deadline pace n linemates Dale finally settles in on.

as an aside, this team has, options galore up front with lines. More than usual.

What is under question for Landon Sim’s suspension?
Not sure exactly.

Right on - junior hockey is right. You never know what’ll happen which makes it fun.

Staff has a lot of work to do, like any other year. Systems will get better and kids will start to establish their roles. Love watching the growth.

Barkey, Cowan and O’Reilly need to start converting like we know they can.

Brzustewicz is quietly having a great year. Pairing him up with Dickinson was great for them both. Brz before tonight had 12 points in 15 games and is/was a plus 7 putting him tied for 4th in scoring on the Knights. The kid is very good he's just been in the shadows.

He has a good head for the game. I think his intelligence is one of the reasons he fit so well on wing late last season. I think he is only helping his draft stock. Kid has been through a lot the last 12-18 months personally and hockey wise. Great to see him have success.

No difference between the Guelph and Erie PBP guys. Embarrassing homers with god-awful puns after the home team scores. I hate each guy equally. Here’s a taste from today’s game…
And I quote (Remember to scream these as if your team has just scored the GWG of Game 7 of the championship series):
Goal 1, Max Namestnikov: “Finding Nemo and he’s found it early”
Goal 2, Cam Allen: “Camtastic rip to the top shelf. Allen goes cheddar with a dart to the far side”
Goal 3, Vilmer Alriksson: “A Cheddar shredder from Sweden with love”
Goal 4, Max Namestnikov: “Mad Max with a dart on the peeper”
Goal 5, Max Namestnikov: “Mad Max is the Mad Hatter”
Goal 6, Max Namestnikov: “Fore-score and he’s got a bunch today”
I don’t disagree with your first two sentences. I will say the former pbp guy of the Guelph Storm - Steve Fitzsimmons always did an excellent job. Classy gentleman too.

However, I have nothing else nice to say about the topic so I’m not going to say anything more. 🤷‍♂️

Onward and upward.

Lest we forget.❤️

Do you think he comes up with those on the spot or does he spend his spare time thinking of these and has them written down?

Give the kid time....he's played 1 game.
I’m not saying he looked bad I was just simply asking what everyone thinks for a timeline for him to feel/look comfortable in this league

I still don’t understand what Sim said to be so bad to get penalized like this

A 3rd rounder, a 10th rounder and a free agent complemented a line totaling 12 points last night against Guelph. What is seem to be happening with this line, usually with Sim on the line, for the half dozen games, is the high level of execution has finally caught up with the speed of their skating, Guelph could not find a defending solution against it.

I made a statement earlier in a post, wanting to see more of Read, well, we did, I am sure fans will agree, he is close to be approved by most, if he isn't yet
