For the posters who don't see the point in Sawyer Boulton. What did you say when the knights acquired Zac Rinaldo 🤔 they bring the same jam this team will need

Better skater in Zac I think. But ya both look to finish first.

I'm not saying Sawyer may not cross a line, esp with how the game is called now ( and I get that, with the potential for injuries, concussions and the transition of game away from certain past ways and what Ive seen happen to kids) but it'll up to the staff to sort that out.

No comparison...Rinaldo was a spot on passer and excellent penalty killer as well as one of the fastest skaters on the team he played top to bottom on every line. I think we see the Boulton boys sparingly after the deadline if at all

London
I don’t think the anticipation was for them to turn into Rinaldo’s, but more like the Ruperts.Unless they can put up some points, those are big shoes to fill.

Lol ask Sarnia if Boultons are a waste Sawyer laid out a few players with solid hard hits the next time the puck was dumped into the corner and sawyer went after it the player abandoned the play so play tell me again how you think they're a waste. Too many hits to the head for you?

Here video proof you. Have no idea what your talking about

Well I don't think either made a singular play with the puck the whole night.. -1, 0-3 in faceoffs, 0 shots. 2 big hits sure, but they lead to nothing & clearly didn't discourage Sarnia from doing anything. I think the Sting had the puck 90% of the time either of them were on the ice & it ain't like we are all that deep lol.

Neither saw a meaningful shift the final 25 minutes in an October game vs a rebuilding team with McCue & Sim out. I love physical hockey, but those 2 are nothing more than energy players at best. Ryder in 12 (counting pre season) OHL games has 1 point & is -7. On a great team. At least he's only 17. Sawyer let's be real ain't OHL level. He managed to get ZERO points last year in 30 games. He's 19.

A pest is McCue. He'll run somebody, score a goal & let you know about it. Hate to play him love to have him. The Boulton's might run somebody, but the only way they're scoring 9/10 times is if there standing backdoor for a wide open tap-in. Not a coincidence depth scoring looks like your biggest (and maybe only) weakness.

I'm sure there will be nights they'll be fun to watch because of the chaos, fights, hits but there's a strong (strong) likelihood they were signed as a favor. If you don't mind sitting better, more skilled players than there's no harm to it & hey maybe it pays off down the road as someone mentioned.

Mean no disrespect. It is fun seeing Eric's sons in the league after all this time. Sure they're great kids. Just my 2 cents. U guys are gonna be an absolute handful come April once again. Best of luck.

Very fair point. I do think Ryder has carved out a solid role as a 4th liner, but wow you are right the production is extremely low even for tough guys.

I would hope a 19 year old player with his physicality would be able to knock over a 16 year old rookie that is 32lbs lighter than him. Not sure this is as big of a feat as you think. Those days are all but over in this league. You better be able to contribute consistently in other areas of the game in todays league. It's one thing to throw a big hit to send a message, but I think that message didn't get through as Sarnia went on to score 5 goals and win the game. I will be absolutely shocked if Hunter ends up having this guy on the roster still past trade deadline.

We are. Need some rumours

Not really.

It would be nice to hear about systems, different coaching decisions, player development, youngins play at lower levels, other teams that are off to great unexpexted starts...ya know....hockey stuff.

Thank goodness you don't have access to the OHL names of players teams put on the available to discuss for trade list. There is a reason it's private lol.

It's the one thing I'm glad the OHL doesn't make public. Lots of other stuff they should.

Don't you have something to complain about on twitter?
