You also??
Two nights in a row and we have a bylaw to shut it down at 11pm.
All the OHL teams/arenas that honoured Canadian (and US) veterans on Remembrance Day... and I'm sure those Canadian vets with PTSD appreciate fireworks going off at all hours of the day! And to keep this on the OHL, did I compliment the Rangers for their incredible Remembrance Day ceremony at the Aud? Well done across the league no doubt.

As a veteran I appreciate your sentiments though most of us would rather see people come together in peaceful celebration than worry about a few that may be triggered.

The last thing veterans want is to inconvenience or cast shadows over happy times, it’s why we fight. Those with PTSD know their triggers and for the vast majority can cope with personal modifications to their lives.

Happy Diwali 🎆🎇

Nothing surprises me in the OHL but it’ll be interesting to see if London can secure any 2nd round picks in the next couple months. No 2nds in 2024, 2025 or 2027. Two in 2026.
Typically, London doesn’t enter a draft without a 2nd round pick.

London will still take high upside picks in the 4th and 5th rounds. Second round picks are good but they will just have to be very convincing to get those late picks over to London.

My guess is they get rid of the two in 2026 if they really believe in this group

Regarding William Moore, are the Knights left with only two options?
1) Sign him before the start of next season, and he debuts with the team, 2024 - 25 season.
2) Declare him: "Defected player" and receive a compensatory pick.
Any other options? Am I missing something?
If they wait out his 2 years in the US, London would lose the compensatory pick should he choose not to report.

Too late for option 2. Has to be declared defected in September.

It was my understanding that there is still time after September to receive the compensation pick. I had it in my head that it was January 2024? I could be wrong because finding rules online regarding this is a challenge.

I believe the knights have a verbal commitment. That Moore will play here now that could always change but I believe Moore intent is to end up in london but we shall see

I would be pretty shocked if Moore does not end up in London at some point. The hunters would have had a good understanding of his plan before they would have wasted a 1st on him. Lev katzin had more points than Moore in their draft year and had also committed to the US route. He ended up being selected in the 5th round... He also would have been a top 10 pick had a team felt that they could convince him to go the OHL route.

Moore in the US-U17 right now is best case scenario for his development. He gets to play top 6 minutes against College and USHL Players. In London as a 16 year old he would be lucky to play 50 games on the 3rd line. If he shows up next year he could step right into the top 6.
