As previously predicted, Knights had problems with PPs most of the season, but everything goes out the window come playoffs time, now it's rolling on all cylinders. Must keep up the pace, Rangers will have problem with a quick pace cutting down their time and space. Also forcing them to pick up penalties (holding, hooking, tripping), rushing up their plays causing errors .
Time for Humphrey to step up....
Ask and ye shall receiveMallioux n George can help lead the O n log a ton of minutes. I yhink those 2 are the key
What adjustment have they made ? It was a mental laps is all that was, same team same players with less thinking about it, less passing, less shots, pucks must go in on playoffs PPs. No time to bother with set plays, execute now what you have learned through out the seasonYes a couple posters said they would adjust PP come POs.
This series will be about adjustments thou. In this game and each consecutive game. The chess match begins n the team that executes coaches tweaks will win.
It means little so far but I'll take it lol.
I rarely hear it mentioned but they certainly screwed up building the rink for hockey viewing for the lower bowl. The last couple rows are fine. But it’s still the same angle. Not good at all for sports viewing. Upper bowl has nice sight lines and places to stand if you’re lucky.I feel like the seat angle in the lower level is not enough. Too many times I found myself looking over and around heads. I only grab upper bowl tickets now.
Tell us exactly what are the adjustment(s) the Knights made to their PPs that were so noticeable?London was able to use their speed and adjust the PP. I’m sure Kitchener will adjust especially when Pinelli returns. I don’t think there is a big talent gap between the teams but this year’s London team seems very well coached and receptive of Dale900. Not the most talented club but excellent puck retrieval and active sticks all over the ice. Good effort and I think it’ll be a long series still if Kitchener plays to their ability.
Someone more knowledgeable about x’s and o’s could help but it seemed like one point man and three men in the middle worked well. I could be wrong but that’s what I noticed.Tell us exactly what are the adjustment(s) the Knights made to their PPs that were so noticeable?
They had that and used it at different times throughout the year, you mentioned they have adjusted their PPs, I thought perhaps you could tell us more in details what you noticed.Someone more knowledgeable about x’s and o’s could help but it seemed like one point man and three men in the middle worked well. London do have superstars in their lineup, Brochu is one for sure and another one may have reached stardom status is Sean McGurn with 12pts in 5 games (4g 8a)
Sean “TOP PROSPECT” McGurn babyyyyySean McGurn?! You mean, the guy we should've dumped at the beginning of the season?
Perhaps we can get Knights Watcher to weigh in.
Honestly their PP didn’t need huge adjustments once set up. That’s how they scored their PP goals when they did score. Where they really struggled this year was once the puck was cleared. They used a slow approach usually with a predictable drop pass and wasted over a minute just trying to get back in the zone. The first power play goal last night that wasn’t an issue as Kitchener never touched the puck. However the 2nd power play they recovered the clear and reestablished zone presence quickly and it paid off. They had that and used it at different times throughout the year, you mentioned they have adjusted their PPs, I thought perhaps you could tell us more in details what you noticed.
Nailed it!!!! Kitchener is big but not near as Physical as Owen Sound. Like the 7 Dman approach.Go 7 Dman..and play the crap out of your 3 top lines. 5-1 Knights
