I don’t know this for sure, but did Cristoforo get top pairing and PP mins right away?
No. He was used as a 3-4 defenseman and saw some action on the second PP unit. Mostly secondary assists as he excells at first pass out of the D zone and has a high hockey IQ on where to place that pass.

If HB can sneak into the top 4 that would be incredible

Maybe a dumb question, is there a difference between straight up "signing" a player and signing a player to an "OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement". Just weird how they announced Brzustewicz as a signing and the next 3 guys as a OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. I honestly don't recall them ever saying OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement, is it a lesser agreement or just a term they use for not a main card?

What is the plan for goaltending? Is Bowen considered the starter that everyone is comfortable with or will there be an addition like DiVincentiis or Donoso as an OA?

I've been seeing this wording more and more on many teams press releases. I think it's more a directive from the league to promote the actual packages and clear up the misnomers. Just my 2c.

They signed to scholarship packages for after they are done.

Brzustewicz didn't as he must either feel good about his chances to turn pro of he has a college fund already

no difference, league mandates every player needs an education package if they sign

Thanks a great question, I think Bowen will be given every opportunity. As a fan I am not fully confident we are there yet but the hunters will make the right call. This year it seems like a buyers market for quality goalies so you’d think a 2nd + 3rd gets it done

Not happening this year, with this D core.
Mete, Bouchard.....Dickinson as measuring sticks, all in different situations still took 1/2 year at least and one could argue Dickinson didn't even get top 4 when the group was healthy.
Mete benefitted from deadline moves and neither he or Bouchard rolled in as rookies to a D as deep n strong as this with a team in go for it mode from camp.
In a go for it year, 95% of rookie D or high end rookie forwards aren't you top Fs or D in top 6....truly outlier situations)

He isn't Bobby Orr

Most 1st rds get a gold package " enhanced benefits so to speak)
Teams only have so many to offer. The rest sign standard agreements.
I still think teams can sign 50(?) To protect, 30 to A cards and scholarship $ based on dressing for games. There used to be a partial and full edu package based on a certain number of games played. Unsure of the #s.

128 total points to crack the top 100

Here is where our guys sit:

McCue 80 points
Gazizov 76 points
Barkey 74 points
Crane 57 points
Cowan 55 points
George 45 points
Bonk 43 points
Sim 42 points

Barkey-Cowan-Halttunen
Humphrey-McCue-Gazizov
Crane-Julien-O’Reilly
Nicholl-Paris-Johnston

(I do think Paris/Johnston could be on the block though to make room for Van Gorp, Arrowsmith, Boulton… but also could rotate those 5 players all season ( I think Barkey, Cowan, Halt,Hump, Q,Gaz,Crane, Julien, O’Reilly and Nichol are all the locks up front)

Dickinson-Bonk
Edward-George
Mackinnon-Leonard

I love Leonard and Mackinnon, but we do have HB, Fagen II and Woolley waiting in the wings

Probably best to have the 9 D due to injury, camps etc, but might see 1 guy move (I do think Edward, Leonard would be potentially back as OAs next year so that’s something to consider) I do think it’s premature, but next year’s potential OAs are Sim, Crane, Gazizov, Leonard, Edward… I think George gets into the AHL.

Bowen
Willmore

Medvedev will get time in B which is good for his development. I hope he gets a handful of starts with the big club. I hope Bowen or Willmore proves themselves, but I do agree with others here that we may need to upgrade this area. Simpson would be a nice addition, but which OA would you move to add him? Would Windsor consider moving Costanzo? Or Ottawa MacKenzie? Would Sarnia trade Gaudreau? Is North Bay going for it or would they trade DiVincentis and Nelson? (who many argue are the best G and D in the league)

Gotta a question,

You have to wonder which Defenseman is on the trade block. Bonk and Dickinson are are staying obviously.

I have a hard time thinking Isaiah George would be on the block. He would fetch the most in draft capital, but he’s more useful on our team.

Next is Jackson Edward. He has taken strides defensively and is a big physical defenseman which is needed in the playoffs, but we could get a nice couple of picks for him. Kinda torn…

Alec Leonard he has come in trying to prove that he is a mainstay this year. Comes out physical at training camp, and is our 3rd RHD defenseman. Could he stay above Henry Brucwestisz on the depth chart or does he get moved eventually?

Ethan McKinnon - not sure he has a lot of value on the open market. Pinches in occasionally but is a safe stay at home defenseman.

I'd be shocked if any of them are on the block at the moment. (Ethan) MacKinnon could become available at some point (due to being an over-ager), but that will depend on the progress of the rooks and how healthy everyone is at the trade deadline. I wouldn't expect a move to be made in the near future, unless the Knights are presented with an offer they can't refuse.

Where do Boulton and Van Gorp slot in? 12th/13th fwd?

I think they're both strictly depth players at this point. The Knights are dealing with a number of injuries at the moment and may need the extra bodies. Boulton could slot in against more physical teams, when necessary.

theyve had edwards for trade a few times but the asking is way too high.
Yeah makes sense. I still think he’s a solid top4D, potential OA, Physical …. Not sure I see the need to move him?

Who’s all out now? Sim, Humphrey?

Liam Gilmartin has been waived by Erie. It’s too bad, he was so hyped and thought there was more offensive upside, but it never was there. Also, since he came from USA, I feel bad, but hopefully his player package gets him something good in Canada.
