The Sabres logo is cheesy, but in a good way. Slightly more timeless too than most of the products of its era, even if that's a very low bar to clear. The Hurricanes one looks dull and corporate, a better fit for a can of energy drink? Also reminds me of monster trucks for some reason.

Carolina's logo looks like something a bored 12-year old did in Microsoft Paint.

I’ve always thought that the hate for the Canes logo was overblown, but even still quite easily the Sabres.

Buffalo Sabres, and it truly is not even close. This Sabres logo is one of the absolute best in the league.


The Hurricanes logo is...fine. It's just not very exciting, and actually kind of ends up looking a bit weird outside the context of a uniform. It reads as a bit of a weird swirl blob in a lot of situations.

Well it's shaped like a hurricane, with a puck in the middle and reverse C's if you use the imagination.

I don't hate Carolina's but this isn't close. Sabres logo is one of the best - classic hockey crest.

I just tried to spread out the older logos so that they don't face off in the first round.

Canes logo is a fine concept but there's too much going on.

I think the Sabres logo could be better but it wins here.

Two truly ugly logos here. I picked Carolina, but I might be swayed a bit because I like their overall jersey a lot.

Even as a Canes fan I don't really have much of an argument against Buffalo winning this one. I don't think the Canes logo is as bad as its reputation, but it's still pretty low in the league standings.

The one thing I would tweak on the Sabres logo is the "action lines" around the buffalo. They add nothing to the image of a charging buffalo and it looks cartoonish/cheesy. .

I love the Hurricanes, but I'll keep saying it is that their primary logo is a flushing toilet seat, easy win for the Sabres here. Carolina really needs to take their stick logo with the flags, change it around a bit, and make it their primary insignia.

Maybe my wife is onto something with my sense of style. To me it's the Hurricane logo by a country mile. The buffalo logo is so plain jane boring. The hurricane on the other hand looks great.
